Q1. It is not as easy to just look for play at the hub.... my 300 droned only when turning at speed from one corner, with no play at the suspected wheel. Turned out to be a bearing in the end. Q2. Not sure on this one matey, I got "jimmer" to do it..... Q3. I would always go for genuine Nissan parts, just for piece-of-mind, albeit it will be a tad more expensive, but you get what you pay for. I have tried Molyslip for my manual box, and did notice a difference, worth a small spend IMHO...... But this all depends on what result you are looking for. Alz.

In laymans terms..... With an old turbo charged car there are many factors that can go wrong/worry about, but an old N/A car there is alot less to go wrong/worry about. For me............ It has to be turbo charged, you cannot beat the boost :) Alz.

Just make sure you keep the boost pressure down matey, until the jets are gone. Then get the EBC properly configured to ur engine spec.... Alz.

This sounds fuel/timing related to me...... the exhaust popping on over-run is the gases exploding to late, ie, in the exhaust system,,, over fuelling or timing issues. The surge of power/no power issue could be the same cause. Black soot over the rear bumper is a sure sign of over-fuelling. Check ur timing marks... http://300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=152682 Are you running standard injectors or A/M ones, and do you have a chipped ECU.
