HID FTW............ 35W has excellent light output, if you want more go for the 55W output. As Ian said, very easy install, just plug and play. Many various priced one's on the bay. Plus, the standard 300zx headlight unit has the much loved "projector" which holds the beam very well. Alz.

Do u have the viscous fan or electric fan? Alz.

I would, personally, not go down the recon engine route. There are many people on here who have done this, only to have the same/similar symptoms to the recon engine very soon after fitting. Why spend up to £1000 for a fitted recon, when just a few pennys more, you can have a rebuilt engine.... Alz.

If you do rebuild her, give "jimmer" a shout, top bloke and the best rebuild by far!!! Alz.

My assumption would be either piston or piston ring failure. If you have the funds and the body is sound, it is worth the fix, imo. Alz.

Get in touch with "Artztogo" (Chris) on here, he got some oval fog lights, and is trying to fit them to his zed. Alz.

If it sounds like a "whimpering animal"......... lol..... it could be your clutch booster failing. But, don't worry..... you can simply delete the pipes from the B. bar and brake servo unit and have a heavy clutch. I have had this for many years now, without any problems, except a bigger left leg..... :thumbup: Nissan sell the clutch booster for approx £450..... :w00t: Alz. :biggrin:

If you have a series I PTU fitted, then I would say, change it. The series I PTU is prone to failure, the series II PTU does not fail when overheating occurs (not to be confused with high engine temps on gauge). My advice..... get a series II PTU.... if it works out, happy days, if not, don't worry because your series I PTU will die eventually, as they did recall the 300zx for a PTU change under warranty back in the ol' days....lol Hope this helps you out buddy.... Stunning 300 matey, outstanding!!!!!! I think a nice blue throttle cover with a chrome strip will set the superb looking engine bay off........, but sometimes I am wrong...lol ;) Alz.
