  4. I was looking in the manual and on the electrical wiring diagrams there is a time control unit, maybe it was an extra or for a newer model, but definitley in the workshop manual. Some one must have one.
  5. Hi Guys I have searched and searchedand looked at the workshop manual but cannot figure out where the time control unit is, this controls the interior light fade time when you close the door etc... Cheers Graham
  6. Its not the price of oil thats the problem, its the bloody tax the government stick on it, like cigs 200 in tesco £49 200 in tenerife £10, just another chapter in rip off Britain
  7. I went for the easy option, I looked at doing the inner brake light conversion, but A: didnt want to fook it up B: there is still a bit of confusion about the legality with the distance of a fog lamp to the main rear lights. I even bought a relay to the rear lights, but with other work i need to do for the MOT at the end of the month and the time i have the reverse light conversion was the simplest.
  8. Cheers guys, for your input, will do the tin foil bit and get a red bulb tommorrow.
  9. I will look at getting a red bulb, the only reason i used lighting gel was a last minute thing. I actually bought a fog lamp from Halfrauds, but decided it looked bloody awful, wherever you place it so did the reverse light conversion instead, but didnt have a red bulb handy. I can easily take out the gel and convert back to a reverse light, but A: i use the car as a daily drive, regardless of weather, so made need a permanent fog light B: my rear window is a limo tint and cant see the reverse light anyway lol.
  10. As above I have just converted my offside reverse light to a fog light, i put some red lighting gel in the lenses and tested them up against the sun light :hyper: yep we had some sun today lol, and it works well, my only concern is that it will be bright enough. It has a 21w bulb which is standard for a fog, has anyone else done this and if so did it pass the MOT ok as mine is due at the end of this month. cheers Graham

  14. Steve I already received a pack, or am i on the list by mistake? Cheers Graham
  15. Hi Guys, Maybe some of you have never had to do this but mine was missing when i got the car. I have a new cable and handle for the boot/petrol flap and instead of getting stuck in and ripping all the interior out, i was wondering if anyone had done this before. Help or advice, as always, greatly appreciated. Cheers Graham
  16. I have something similar on my auto, accept it happens more on acceleration when cold, slightly worse up hill, i was told it could be the prop, centre bearing, after 60mph eases off and not so bad when warm.
  17. click on payment history or transactions, there will be a log showing payments to and from. When someone is sending you a payment it will show on the table and in the last line of the transaction details it gives the status of the transaction. To accept the payment from another person you need to click accept in the last line of the details. I probably made this look more complicated than it is.
  18. Thats right if someone pays you using paypal you have to accept payment, there should be a payment table or link for a transaction pending, you then click on accept payment and it should be done.
  19. I use (A quote) in Andover and through Norwich union i got 7years ncb, ok im now 40, so the age might make a difference but i paid £412 fully comp. Worth shopping around tho

  21. Graham - I have forwarded your details to Steve-300zx to prevent your personal info showing in a public forum... Steve :)

  23. The switch is wired up, and it worked fine till yesterday, it doesnt switch anything on or off, could it be just the switch needs replacing or something more serious. Cheers
  24. Ive just got my 99 spec bumper/spoiler and headlamp scoop panel back from the spray shop, it looks blooming lush, BUT, its the wrong shade of yellow. I took the car to a paint specialist (supposedly) to get a match, and although they said it was a pig to get an exact match the closest they could find was Hello Yellow. Put the headlamp panel up against the car and its a mile out, great colour, just wrong. The bodyshop told me to go back to the paint specialist and have a moan to get some money back. The paint specialist told me to go back to the sprayer as he should have done a sample piece to check it was a match to the car. Seems to me they are passing the buck to each other. Also the sprayer didnt have my car for a match when he sprayed it, he just went on the color match supplied by the supplier. The only outcome i have so far is the paint shop who supplied the paint offered me a discount when i get the whole car sprayed, which i will do in the not too distant future, but as the bumper and panel are so noticeably different i cant really put them on the car, it will look naff. Any suggestions of what i should do ( apart from changing the color lol)
  25. Too late already floored it lol, the power light came on and worked as it should, it must be something at the switch side near the selector lever, will check it out. Is there a seperate fuse for the switch operation? Just wondered. Cheers for your help.
