  1. I had a similar problem a couple of years back, when the mot tester tested my car as a 350z. After i got some info together, i went back to him with it and it appeared he hadnt been a tester that long, but try to talk his way out of it. Anyways it passed the next time and he has been sacked since and i take my car back to the same place now as they know it really well and last time passed with flying colours. I see what your saying about taking it somewhere else for a more experienced tester, but by going back to the same place armed with the knowledge is more fulfilling, plus he wont want reporting for his incompetence lol
  2. I was going to suggest a pay as you go credit card. I had one a few years ago to hide my cash gigs in lol. You can opt for a £1 fee per transaction or a £5 a month fee, regardless of purchase. You still get the credit card purchase protection and you can put upto £5k max on some, but remember if you dont use it or put money on it on a regular basis, you will still be paying the £5 a month. So worth thinking about, its only your own cash your spending rather than borrowing.
  3. :happybday: Still enjoying his holiday, all the best Dave :happybday:
  4. Possible, but i was only pointing out that it doesnt have one, so that it doesnt come as a surprise, if someone buys one and fits it. I would use some enamel paint to make the mark rather than cutting a notch out, it might make it unbalanced.
  5. 2fast2cool have them, but like most aftermarket lightened under drive pulley, there are no timing marks. Mine was timed up using the oem one, before it was replaced.
  6. Yes Dave, its bigger, cheers
  7. I think if you weigh up the cost of all the paint, thinners, clear, gun and compressor, ive been told there is a guy near me, who will do it on a weekend (out of work time lol) for about £500 in a booth, ive still got to go and get a quote, but hopefully if its somewhere near that, i would rather he do it than do it myself with no booth. I think the booth is half the battle with a good paint job, like any tools i guess.
  8. Its about the same size :lol: clicking on the thumbnail i mean

  18. Looks really good Al, i did mine a few years ago in leather, but need redoing. I didnt let the glue go off before i put the end caps back on, ended up with a bit of a push back on the ends lol.
  19.:lol: reminds of the dial up days lol 36k then 56k, how did we manage :sweatdrop:
  20. Im with Talk Talk, had to wait nearly 6 weeks to get connected when i moved. Luckily managed to blag someone elses locally for free till mine was connected. Talk Talk are ok, had a few niggles in the beginning but are as bad as all the others lol.
  21. We here you lol, but i couldnt smell the fuel leak i had under the bonnet, but only in the car and mainly coming through the vents, via the engine bay. Check all your clips again you might be surprised.
  22. Great news, glad youve got the bug back to get her on the road.
  23. Have you checked all your fuel hose clips Ian? i had similar and it was the bottom jubilee on the FPR dripping onto the rocker cover, but would go when warm.
  24. Ive got a lightened flywheel, lightweight one piece prop, with a standard clutch, to fit yet, but for an N/A, it will allow the engine to rev quicker and have less drag on the rotation, so although it wont give you more HP, it will feel quicker.
  25. Heard you the first time lol Cool, i have the cans with the correct colour in from the paint supplier as i wanted to do some engine bits, so i will give it a go. Can always rub it down again if its crap lol.
