  1. S15s are nice but look plain without a bodykit.
  2. No such thing as a cheap, good NSX. You can get the autos for a bit less but they're still big money for old cars.
  3. Sorry - don't like the wood either.
  4. Honda Integra Type-R DC5. A very modern, well thought out car. Fast, low maintenance, rare, pretty practical too. Yes it's FWD but it has a LSD and it'd probably beat anything mentioned above on a twisty road. Very low deprecition too. If I didn't love my Zed I'd get one.
  5. They all like a good **** **** up their **** anyway. :x:
  6. lol - got to be a set up?
  7. I used Zedworld and found it good - I know a few people on here have had disputes with them but I think any motor trader will get that. I had my 60,000 mile service done by another 300ZX specialist who I believe did a good job. Like yours, my belts started slipping within a couple of days. I think the cold weather doesn't help. They offered to tighten them but it was miles away. They gave me instructions and I did it myself - it only took about 20 minutes and is an easy job. As for the coolant I think they'll have replaced the water pump too so there may be a little air n the system working it's way out. As for them paying your expenses, I think consumer law says the onus is on you to get the car to them. I think the Zen Garage have a workshop somewhere near you - well nearer than Zedworld anyway - I believe they're a good Zed specialist if you don't want to use Zedworld any more. It's annoying when you've spent all that money - I hope you get it sorted one way or another. Good luck with it.
  8. Thank you! If someone comes up with a resonable argument I'm prepared to change my point of view. That's rare in internet 'debates' where most people just state their case, state it louder then swear at each other when they don't agree. Can you really believe 'they' want to track us etc? Surely there's no-one who is that bothered or has enough to gain to make it worth while.
  9. Connery was in the best Bond films but Moore was the best Bond IMHO. The others are a bit homogenous and the films have lots their charm since the end of the 70s.
  10. I've seen recent technology where a grid can be formed using key points on the face - eyes, mouth, nose, cheekbones etc. Each person's is distinctive and may even be unique. It's been used to make convictions in court. This could be what they mean, not just a photo.
  11. Yes - the old one earthed through its mounting bolt.
  12. Ok, that sounds quite reasonable. If all that's true (and I've no reason to suggest it isn't) ID cards could well be a bad idea. Much more convincing than the 'big brother' 'taking our freedom' thing IMHO.
  13. I'm not saying it'll be perfect, but it surely has to make it harder for illegal immigrants and maybe terrorists too. I'd be happy to be stopped and asked to show my card to the police at any time. I'm not doing anything wrong and I wouldn't see it as being picked on or singled out for any reason. I don't see why any law abiding citized would have a problem with this. Can anyone who doesn't want these cards think of a better way of reducing the problems?
  14. Very sorry to hear about your wife's cousin. Terrible news. :(
  15. Elton John? He'll come. Will Young? He'll come. Wayne Sleep? He'll come. Graham Norton? He'll come. Andy Duff? Of course he'll come - it IS his party. Lol - bet it'll be good - but it's a bit far for me. Have a good time those who go. :duffer:
  16. I would say it will help get rid of illegal immigrants and help fight terrorism. I can't see how it infringes on law abiding individuals in any way. And I didn't think it'd be linked to banks etc so your identity would be hard to steal. It would enable customs / the police / whoever to turn up at fruit picking places etc - whereever illegal immigrants work - check their ID cards - those that don' have them get sent back (or as a default send them to Chad if they won't say where they're from). I'm sure it would help prevent terrorism but they are more sophisticated / have more resources so maybe less so - but surely it couldn't hurt? I still can't see any specific downsides - just vauge things about freedom and big brother paranoia. I'm not caliming it'd be perfect but surely it'd help. So many people complain about illegal immigrants - can you come up with a better system to get them out?
  17. Any good quality DoT 4. I think DoT 5 isn't so good (and doesn't mix with DoT 4).
  18. Some sort of hymenoptera (ant / termite thing) - but I wouldn't worry - there's loads and very few will eat your building!
  19. I've yet to see a real situation where ID cards will cause a problem. Only paranoid rants and vague comments on the political system. Give me a specific scenario where having these cars will hurt decent, law abiding people? Come on, think it through - here's an opportunity to get rid of loads of illegal immigrants. Really, where's the downside?
  20. Yes, our system leads to gladiatorial politics and trying to win votes. And we could argue the pros and cons of Mrs T all day. But I still can't see a down side to ID cards except cost and I hope we'd recoup it in the medium to long term.
  21. Who else is going to pay for them? As for those illegal immigrants roaming the country and the government is unaware surely this has to be about the best way to catch and deport them? Where's your card? Not got one? Prove who you are very fast or out you go. Sorted. I really don't see what people have to fear. Yes you may occasionally drive slightly over the speed limit, smoke a joint, park on a yellow line or whatever but these cards are not about minor crimes.
  22. I'm moving house on the 24th so extremely unlikely to make this - gutting.
  23. If you've ever complained about terrorism, social security fraud or illlegal immigration then surely this is the government trying to do something to fight them. If you've got nothing to hide, you've nothing to worry about. In what actual way does anyone imagine these will be a bad thing for law abiding citizens? Tell me a situation.
  24. I loved Borat when he was an early Baron-Cohen character - I'm looking forward to the film and hoping it's still got that original genius.
