Upon a recent visit to the pub
Lol - my mate came up with it I'm afraid. I think part of it was Connan Doyle.

I'd like to know - where DOES it come from?

Turbo or N/A
It's a fair price if it's a good, clean car. Slick Pete's TT is £2500 though - not a lot more if you do want a TT.

Turbo or N/A
If money's no problem, go for the TT. I don't think it's any more troublesome than the NA other than the possibilities of the turbos failing - although they do run hotter under the bonnet (IIRC) and that can make wiring brittle etc not big issues though. You can sort turbos and they'll be good for the next 60,000+ miles no worries. It just costs a bit.

Turbo or N/A
Welcome aboard mate. I could have got either and went for an NA as it was the best car I looked at. Most of the time I'm chuffed to bits with it but sometimes I think about converting it to a TT (VERY expensive so I never have). I was swayed as I'd just got rid of a 200SX S13 and the turbo had gone on that and cost me a lot to fix. If I was buying again... I'd probably go for a really clean, straight, genuine low mile freshly imported TT. But in a way it's a bigger gamble - those turbos can go and cost £2500 (IIRC) to get a garage to sort it. I'm happy withouth that extra worry. And I still love my NA, it's an easier drive (I have driven a TT) and it's never gone wrong in three years (touch wood, now I've cursed it!). The NA is quick but not really fast. If you want really fast, you want a TT. What cars (or bikes) have you had before?

I thought about getting a dog and according to an on-line "what dog you should get" quiz, that's the breed for me. They had some wierd cross breeds though - Peekapoo anyone?

I did drink a shot of Absinthe once - one of only two shots I've ever drunk. No hallucinations sadly. I think I neeed to drink more but that wasn't going to happen. Van Gough drank loads as did Toulouse LaTrek (?sp) so your in good company! Called 'The Green Faerie" or something!

Help needed in Peterborough
I'm not a million miles away (well, maybe 25?). I can't promise anything - I'm going away on friday and have loads of work to sort out before then. Plus a new (to me!) house with lots of DiY to do too. If I'm going that way I'll have a look - if I was less busy I'd have gone and checked it out for you - sorry I can be more helpful.

I don't really know anything about wine. I was just spouting *****cks. I like White Lightning cider, spiced up with a can of hairspray.

I prefer an unoaked new world chardonnay. Or anything with a Pinot grape. Pinot grapes are so sensitive - thin skinned, you can't just grow them anywhere. I can never drink spirits. As a youth I used to weep in off licences.  :smash: :duffer:

Isn't that a type of perfume? I don't think you should be drinking perfume.

This is the wife's cat, Mr Pickles. He's so cute! Him and his furry friends would never damage a car. Probably.
