  1. Think about new shocks and springs all round. Maybe new or uprated front barkes. Then up the boost, re-map, exhaust, air filter.
  2. mine cuts in a fraction below 130mph - wierd but it's definitely an electronic limiter. I think a conzult should tell you about it
  3. Yep stick with kph - you get used to it quickly. Doesn't cause problems with the power steering too that way.
  4. I don't have a copy to put up. :nelson: That was proper party antics, that night.
  5. True! And you haven't even seen the Vinz JAE vodka teeth pictures!
  6. Keep most of them in the fridge for longevity. But keep one or two in the fruit bowl as they're a bit nasty when they're cold. When you eat one from the fruit bowl, replace it with one from the fridge.
  7. That is a lovely looking car and a desirable variant. Get insurance quotes sooner rather than later IMHO.
  8. I'd go for the atmosphere and getting off me head. Getting tickets is a PITA.
  9. Looks like a nice example. You must be chuffed.
  10. I've used Limewire for some time with no problems. It doesn't seem to find as many music tracks as it used to when I search - I dunno if there's some sort of blokcing technology out there. I might try one of thes other programmes.
  11. Good work Vinz - you're down with the kids
  12. The man the :duffer: was named after!
  13. Something similar happened to me when parachuting into Belize on a special op in the 70s. I steered into a haystack, was unharmned and then made love to a busty local girl who was very impressed. ;)
  14. Clucking bell! Lol @: The Mail on Sunday branding next to ads for sexy girls int their underwear. and "Are you alright?" "no" Amazing vid.
  15. TO convert a NA to a TT it's about £2K labour plus the parts - you could get a crashed donor car for about £1500 and sell what you don't use. Still looking at £3K +++++++ unless you can do the job yourself. It's not worth it unless there's a special reason (ie you want a convertible TT).
  16. lol I'm not expecting 40mpg. I'm just thinking 1-3% difference maybe? I wouldn't change wheels for this reason. I like the fact I can take it easy on a long run and get near to 30mpg - or cane it and get less than 15.
  17. Happy birthday Jay :duffer:
  18. Larger rolling radius therefore higher gearing, therefore better fuel consumption? I recon so - although the speedo / odo won't show it as it's altered by the same amount too. But... I guess big wheels may be wider and heavier which would be bad for fuel economy, as would be over gearing. What do you think?
  19. Put a picture up at least.
  20. Hmmm... you can get a really late (1998/99) 840 for about £10K.... a lot of car for the money! I bet running costs aren't cheap though.
  21. Lol - each to their own! I parked my Zed next to one and the Merc made the Nissan look like a nasty, cheap, little toy. They arew huge and have real presence. And a 5 litre V8. I'm not a fan of the SL55's looks - but I'd have one for the performance.
  22. I'd quite fancy a CL500. You can get a 2001 one for under £20K. Not cheap but not insanely expensive.
  23. If it was really mint and straight I'd offer them £4K and go up to £5K at a push. They may give you a warranty bookelt with various terms and conditions which may have exclusions. But your normal consumer rights say if it sufferes a major mechanical problem in the first 3-6 months they'll have to sort it. It's peace of mind that someone isn't moving on a car that's about to go pop. Check when the cambelt service was done - it's 60,000 OR every 5 years. As a private sale it'd be worth £3500 max I'd say - although it's hard to put figures on a car without seeing it. It might be a total shed.
  24. If it was absolutely mint with complete service history it might be worth £4000-£5000 at a push. Autos never fetch quite as much as manuals. If you buy from a garage they have to rectify any faults that occur in the first six months - which could be worth a lot.
