My NA is limited to 130mph (about 210kph). I think if de restricted it'd do about 150mph. I've had a GSX-R750 off the (digital) clock which stopped st 299kph which was getting scary!

In Mike's answer, 13% is 13% of the speedo reading. In mine, 15% is a part of the actual true speed. I'd go with his answer but I'm not sure.

Car is doing 250 meters in 29.2 secs That's 8.8616438 meters per sec (250/29.2) 22mph is 9.834 meters per sec (22 X 0.447) So the car is doing 8.861638 m/sec but speedo reads 9.834 m/sec 9.834 / 8.56164 = 1.1486 So the car speedo reads 114.86% of the true speed. That's 100% plus 14.86% So it's overreading by 15% (to two significant figures) (I think - although I did used to enjoy maths - sad vvanker)

Mrs Craig Dvaid drives my Z too sometimes. She wouldn't drive my old 200SX S13 though. I just tell her 'don't push the accelerator all the way down. Especially if it's wet. And you're in a corner'

Mine occasionally scrapes on speed bumps and other stuff. I'm more worried about it possibly ripping that whole plastic frontispiece off rather than any scuffing on the bottom side of it.

If you drew a line with a 300ZX at one end and a ZX-6R at the other an Elise would probably be about in the middle. Plus running cost would be quite low I guess compared to the Z and a bike together.

How VVank is that? Coppers spend loads on special 'film strength detectors' and go out nicking people. Like they have nothing better to do?

We have had two posts this week about folk killed on the roads. Part of me says be harsh on speeders... the roads are there for everyone to get about in safety not for people to have a laugh in their sportscars. If this saved some lives, then surely it's worth it? Or is getting somewere sooner and having a laugh in a fancy car more important than people's lives? Equally there should be more coppers on the lookout for dangerous /drink drivers and they're the real problem... not someone going quick on an empty motorway. I drive fast... I had a ZZR1200 off the clock in France and an indicated 175 on a GSX-R in this country so I guess I'd be a hipocrite if I said be harsh on speeders. But sometimes 20mph in a 30 is too fast.
