  1. I've used Tom Tom and it is better but it's more expensive. This would work in car and on a bike for £149. Tom Tom Rider is £499 alone.
  2. Just drove to my local Halfords to get one. Couldn't see any. First staff member I asked had never heard of them. Neither had the second. I told them they had a big ad in The Sun specifically for this offer but they just said 'come back next week - we might have some then'. T0ssers. And I bought a folding workbench anyway while I was there. I should probably sabotage it and take it back to learn them. But they wouldn't care anyway.
  3. National offer advertised in the national press. With Europe maps included. A good deal? I might go and get one.
  4. Christ, he doesn't look well. Looks like he's got the virus and it's gone full blown or he's been on the brown.
  5. I'd say so, yes. I had different spec Falkens on my 300 before and they were fine. I've got cheapies (Marshall) on the front still, so mixing makes a difference too. I'm just glad I got them changed after a few weeks use!
  6. Sorry to hear that Si - not a good turn of events for you. Any car mag describes them as expensive if they go wrong and I guess that's true. It's hard to know what's a good one when you buy. Doesn't some place in the back of one of the Japanese car mags (?J Tuner) advertise guaranteed engines from Japan for about £1K?
  7. Dunlop SP 9000 - that's what I got now - seem great. I spoke to the tyre man at length about sidewall load strengths and chose the 9000s on that basis. Unfortunately I can't remember the details of what was said. :smash:
  8. Take care out there mate and try and get me a monkey* and some opium. *preferably a macaque or a languar ;)
  9. My mate spun his into a tree this morning! Looks like he'll need some parts. Any ideas where to look? Specialist traders / breakers? Forums? Cheers gents
  10. I had a pair of new Falken tyres fitted on the back of my Zed. Straight away the handling was terrible - all high speed stability was gone. After a bit of persuasion, I got Black Circles to swop them for Dunlops and the problem's gone away. No more cheapo tyres for me now. It's brand names my mother's heard of from now on. (I had Falkens the past and they were ok - 'ow queer!)
  11. I know they're quick cars. Surely some modern FWD motors must be quicker - Alfa 156 GTA, Ford Focus RS, Fiat Coupe turbo, DC5 Integra, the fast Saabs etc?
  12. Almost bought a 620Ti. There's a reason they're cheap - most commonly clutch failure IIRC!
  13. You lose a lot of power in a central diff. 4WD is for homos and lasses.
  14. Wow mate, keeping passing out is not good. I'd be tempted to get it checked out. If you go now, the wait shouldn't be too long - by this evening the hospital will be full till Sunday. At my local hospital you can phone A&E and ask them how long the queue is roughly. Maybe worth a go.
  15. He's always going to Cuba. That's plumbers for you - coining it in!
  16. PMSL! I'm not totaly convinced in your mortgage adviser though - do you give him some Stellas when before he gives you any advice?
  17. Move troops into the desert - out of sight, but there is needed. Try and support an elected Iraqi government and their armed forces, help rebuild their infrastructure and free media. IMHO
  18. I reported on a magistrates court for a year. Over 100 is an automatic ban UNLESS you have a good reason to keep your licence - ie, your job depends on it. Near the trial, advertise the car for sale and tell the magistrates you've realised what a terrible mistake you made and you've changed and would never speed and you're glad you got a wake up call like this rather than having an accident etc etc etc. Dress conservatively but not flashy in court. Fingers crossed for you mate!
  19. Hat off to you mate, that's an impressive piece of engineering.
  20. Playing devils's advocate somewhat but... We need to achieve racial integration in schools. This is clearly very important to certain Muslims so why shouldn't they wear their traditional dress? I do accept they should accept British culture to an extent but they should be permitted to retain their beliefes as long as they're not harmfull. I fear we marginalise the moderate Muslims and push them towards anti-west extreme behaviour. Political corectness has gone mad but the "It's political corectness gone mad" gainsayers have also gone just as mad. Ultimately you could say that clothing like she wants to wear that is repressive to women but I think we need to be healing rifts not creating them at this point in time.
  21. Damn, that looks good - women there and everything. Not much japery though. I'd have shown you some tidy donutting round the petrol pumps is you hadn't all cleared of to a shopping centre by the time I got there.
  22. I have Radio 2 on here and I thought they said this new £210 a year tax band would only be on cars bought from September this year onwards. I could be wrong.
  23. Just seen this - good luck Rich - hope it all goes well.
  24. It's totaly legal. If the police stop you, tell them: "Craig David on the internet said it was ok".
