Have you run Spy/Malware checks? That's the first thing I'd suspect, particularly if the pc takes a long time to boot. Spy-Bot, AdAware, SpySweeper and Ewido. I assume that you have anti-virus software - AVG7 is excellent and free. Beware of WinFixer, never click on it.

What d'you mean trouble? Nar. Had my TT since Sept 2000 and all fine except for starting problem that was poor contact in crank angle sensor (shown in self diagnosis). Always starts at first spin. Totally reliable, I'd say. No real heart to the machine without turbos.

A Zed without turbos? No NO no Churchill do me a good deal. For 'Classic car' deal, the Z wouls have to be a second car.

Manual is the better buy - far more rewarding than auto. UK car with good service history. Perhaps there's a Zed club member that you can buy from? If you do go for an import, look for the classification and warranty. General car buying advice applies even more so. Never meet a seller in Pub car park; visit the seller's home - if that's not cared for, forget the car; shut lines; paint overspray etc.

Just a mo' before you rush into anything. Are you using Windows XP? Have you run any system tools recently? Have you run Adaware and Spybot? If you have not then you may find that when you do you pc will be quicker. (A simple check to know whether your pc is suffering garbage is that it should be about 45 seconds for boot-up.) Try eBay for mobo + cpu offers but you'll need to check the memory type that you have. If you are not a games player, then cpu/video power is not too important. Bigger monitor would be good. That mobo spec I quoted would be for a high-end pc. AMD64 comes 754 and 939 pin but there's no point in getting a mobo that'll take both.

What's your budget? Quick answer is to change the mobo for AMD 64 939 pin and the fastest processor you can afford. You'll maybe need to change the memory too. Cheapest option is to look in the handbook of the mobo that have and see what the fastest processor is that it will support.
