  6. Yes, I'm insured with Mulsanne via Tim Prestige of A & A Can't fault them for the help and advice and of course all of Jeff's pictures which helped show the engineer what had been done to get the car looking so and solid. The engineer said the front can't have any rust or there would been more damage !
  7. Well, They insurance co weren't prepared to go court to get get a definition of unnecessary ! That's hardly surprising. They sent an engineer out to look at mine and have given the go ahead for a new door and Wing ! Only problem is they've got to come from Japan ! Still, I count that as a win and I've got protected No Claims
  8. ECU going into Safety Mode ?
  9. at 3500 revs revs in top I get just under 30mpg !
  10. A zed is most fuel efficient when cruising at a steady speed, preferably on a motorway. Round town driving absolutely kills the mpg and I can get through half a tank in my tt just driving it around on a weekend ......
  11. I get better mpg in my manual TT than from Jan's auto na Fill my TT up in Filey and drive to Morden in South London and got a quarter of a tank left Do the same in Jan's and it's almost on empty And that's with both using vpower
  12. Hello and welcome Having started with an auto and now got a manual all I can say is that the manual makes you realise just how much power you've got but perversly, you realise just how good an auto box is at delivering it smoothly.... you pays your money and takes your choice
  13. Thats the argument we are making to the other party.... he should have been on the right of the traffic, not the left where he so far away he was invisible !
  14. The Law on cycle lanes states advisory (marked with broken white lines) where other road users can use them if necessary and may be allowed to park in them at certain times. The Highway code recommends that cyclists "keep within the lane wherever possible" - 'If Necessary' and a motorbike using the cycle lane to avoid a queue is not Necessary, AND It's undertaking and he should have known better ! Lets be generous and say the motor cyclist was travelling at only 20 mph 20 mph is 1,760 x 20 and that is 35,200 yards an hour Multiply that 3 to get it into ft per hour 32500 x 3 = 97,500 feet per hour divide it by 60 to ft per minute = 1625 and divide this by 60 to get ft per second = 27. 08, If It took me just two seconds to be crossing the cycle path that means that he must have been 54 feet from the crash when I started so I didn't have a hope in hell of seeing him behind a row of stationary traffic he was undertaking ! If It took me three seconds to be crossing the cycle lane, (put car in gear, check that there is nothing there and move) then it means he was 81 feet away ! That, I think proves the dangers of undertaking !
  15. --- Update ---- Well I've got one quote for the Insurance... £2015 97 plus vat That's an new door and wing from Japan and the paint and labour Insurance have indicated that they will go and get the money from the motorcyclist's insurance
  16. If you give her an updated face don't you need an updated tail as well ? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  17. You can get some 100 Watt bulbs from Halfrauds to upgrade the 55 watt H1 Mains
  18. Headlight problem easily solved..... Fit a quality set of HIDs Oh and it's NOT a Datsun.... it's a Genuine NISSAN
  19. Aren't you having a flux capacitor as well Otherwise you'll be disappointed with it
  20. was that your iPhone again Si.... You should stick with your old Samsung Android
  21. Better than a motorcyclist riding in the Cycle lane where you can't see him when a car lets you out !
  22. After being hit by a motorbike in a cycle lane yesterday I wonder if anyone has a 95 - 98 passenger door and ns front wing available ?
  23. Well its a different colour from the rest of the road And the key word in the text from the highway code where it says advisory (marked with broken white lines) where other road users can use them if necessary and may be allowed to park in them at certain times. The Highway code recommends that cyclists "keep within the lane wherever possible" - is 'If Necessary' and a motorbike using the cycle lane to avoid a queue is not Necessary, AND It's undertaking and he should have known better !
