  3. I know the feeling, also have a load of drawings to play with today but doing them from home, bit to many distractions though
  4. Hydraulics would be very expensive mate. you would need hyd tank, pump. small double acting cylinders, 4 function dual solinoids, digital/anolouge driver board for pc coms and the electronic interface and not forgetting the software to make it all work, would cost a few grand by the time it was up and running.
  5. I think you may be right, the guys said thats what they were going to do with them.
  6. just watched the vid thats not Chris in the car (sorry chris)
  7. As Andy said the guy in the blue Z is Mark Brand, I think that is Chris one of the other guys from the team in the car with him. They went for the S15's because they are easier to control when doing their shows the Z32 were a bit rear end heavy although you would not think it was a problem when you see them do their stuff. The prob with the engines they used to have was keeping them cool, doing dounnuts and drifting at the shows they were not getting enough airflow through the radiator, once they fitted upgraded rads it helped the problem, the gearbox probs were down to the clutch not lasting that was sorted when they started using the Helix ceramic 3 puck racing ones. It always amazed me that they would drive the cars over from Ireland thrash the nads off them at the show/event then drive them home again. The cars started as auto's and they converted them to manual, Brandy's car had fiberglass wings and the rear hatch was fiberglass with perspex saved about 7 stone in weight. Had a short run in Chris's car at crail he was showing me how he gets it sideways he makes it look so easy, I am still hopeless at it though. Great bunch of guys.
  8. I dont as a rule get into a "this is better than that" conversation I prefer to let people form their own opinion about what works / or does not work the best, but after reading that statement on the noswizard.com I have to say that is the biggest load of bullshit i have come across in a long time. I have seen with my own eyes 2 failures on different cars that involve the nitrous supply line on those kits, also a failure on a refill station that was filling a 10lb bottle that was pure luck nobody was injured (they use braided lines now). Now i dont know if the lines in question were installed incorrecly or not but the end the failure was not at any of the connections it was the line itself that burst. I am not saying there is anything wrong with noswizard kits its just that statement about the plastic lines that i dont like. what do i know about pressure lines someone is going to ask, well for a living i design hydraulic systems with working pressure far greater than any nitrous kit would ever see
  9. Why wizards of Nos wet kit?
  10. Came across this vid its a must see, what a trip this would be. http://my.break.com/media/view.aspx?ContentID=242832 :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:
  11. Yes it is poss on the I.O.M. there are a few sections over the mountain of the TT course, just make sure your brakes are A1 and dont drive beyond your capabilities and have fun
  12. The orange wire is not used so dont worry, the newer afm's have only 4 pins older ones have 5 pins, the afm connector has 6 pins just to confuse the issue
  13. I got the pinion set through Smithy last year I think they were £485 delivered, not long after i got them the turbo's went fubar sorted them at which point the engine broke, only just got the car back on the road so now thinking about finally fitting them.
  14. Go for it. I already have the richmond kit, hope to install it this month when i get hold of some new pinion bearings, cant wait
  15. Very usefull info there. thanks
  16. Its the dummy shaft, bearing spacer, side bearing adaptor and the adapter shaft page PD-21 in the manual.
  17. No with 4:10 which is the leader gears ratio
  18. I have looked at this but its the special tools/items for setting the pinion hight that i dont have. Still trying to figure how to get round the items needed that the manual recomends.
  19. theoretical speed at 7000rpm with std wheel tyre with leader gears ring/pinion fitted Auto = 180.63 mph manual = 182.46
  20. Does anyone know of a specialist who will be able to fit the ring & pinion set?
