  9. Can someone do me a favour and search SFS Performance Bike Hoses and see if they can find our new page and then if you do click on the link and see if it takes you to the page wall. Thanks
  10. Not much in the engine bay apart from the engine which won't be there long either !!
  11. Ok all a bit wierd now, light is strobbing and can see the pulley wheel under that light and see scrathes/dimples and they move back and forth when altering the dial so seeing the wheel ok but still no mark??
  12. Coil 1, front d/s, will try altering the angle it's pointing at
  13. Already marked the line with white
  14. Had another go and the light does work as can see other scratches on the pulley that move when turning the dial. Is it possible the pulley is on wrong, been a long time since I pulled an engine so can't remember???
  15. Yes, flashing fine, don't understand why I can't see the mark?????
  16. Thanks Mark, just done that and can only assume gun is at fault as even with the mark whited can't see it at all! Can't get gun any closer as fan blades in the way.
  17. Timing plate is there but on the gun is a dial you can turn between 0-60° called advance timing. So do I set to 0° as don't want to advance it or 15° as that is waht the timing is?
  18. Just to check do you set the gauage on the gun to 15°? Tried it at 0 advance and the 15 and no sign of a timing mark on either!!!! Quick answer would be appreciated as car is warm now!
  19. Anyone else for Sunday 7th?
  20. At the end of a run there seems to be water blowing through the rad cap? Is this HG or maybe just the cap is gone?
  21. All good apart from a bottom end knock, has a full service history. Going to drain oil and have a look as it may just be new bearings, the guy took it off the road when the knocking started.
  22. Some pictures for you. removed manifold, tub and loom already!
  23. Paid £450 for it, engine knock and no tax/mot, had full service history tho lol!
  24. To run alongside the Z I have picked up a S14 auto which will be my 2nd project. I had been planning to build the Z with big power and for track action but decided against extreme tack action as I don't think it's right to strip it and ruin a good cruiser. So the S14 will get the full stripping and extreme track prep. Starting removing the T28 turbo, loom an ECU which is sold and has covered 2/3 of the cost of the car  Next to go will be the ABS and the engine which is knocking alot along with the auto slush box, then the front and rear subframes for some rust treatment and car undersealing. As I can't do much to the Z until it comes off the road after Trax then I guess it should keep me busy. Over the winter there will be custom bits to be made including a front subframe with engine mounts, gearbox mounts and I think manifolds or downpipes! Pictures to follow!
