what spinning? the starter on its own? or the engine is turning over but wont fire up??

check the pipe that goes from plenum to idle control valve as mine was hunting last night & it had a small split in which was enough to make it hunt!

its never been on the road since i owned it lol...i bought it being told it had electrical fault!!! to be fair it did but also had a blown headgasket:oops: lol so pulled the engine out & fixed it rebuilt it & the list goes on ..add a bit, fix something else, do a bit up, pull a bit apart etc...should be ready this summer sometime i hope!:yes:

still got boost leak! or injector not working hence it cuts out? have a listen to the injectors using a long screwdriver to the top of the injector & hold to your ear ..u will hear them clicking away check them all!! but hunting tends to be boost leak! check gaskets between throttle bodies..also the idle valve on the back of plenum has a gasket..ballance bar etc ...use wd40 with engine running & spray around gaskets pipe joints etc u should see it suck the wd40 in or the revs might change!...

nice one m8...a cheap fix!!:clap: now u got lots left to spend on the "unfair lady" to get her how u want her! its taken me 2 years & mine's still not on the road:thumbdown:

i agree it sounds like a connecter coming loose under load check coil pack connectors too:detective:

black with a grey/carbon defuser might work??

ah in that case u need to remove plenum!! hmm bet yours hasnt had a bypass so it would be a pain to do with no 300zx knowledge! the gasket is only £11 from nissan,..i'll call u tomorrow

Si is right it would be too thin for the seats as there is a difference between furniture leather & automotive grade leather...plus on most leather sofas today the use "cut leather" which is sliced thin so they get 2 or even 3 hides out of one!!! the usually put this on the sides & backs etc! but if you want it for door cards dash & not the seats then it would be fine i guess.
