Ok but the problem is I have an after market speedo that is working fine so it is getting a signal but I dont have a signel at the ECU. I did not fit the speedo so I dont know if the wire from the speedo to the ECU is even connected. If as you say the speedo cleans up the signal will the one I am useing do the same job? If it just means running a new wire from the speedo to the ECU the fix should be easy. Would the signal from the speed sensor be affecting anything else? Chris...

Are they not the same thing? Its the power steering I am having the problem with. So does the speed sensor go direct to the ECU?

I know the speed sencer wire goes to the dash, but does anyone know if it goes to anything else before it gets to the ECU. That is between the dash and the EU.? Chris...

All right mate, how ya do in. Long time no see, As far as I know they can design it how you wont it. Thats how I wanted it and thats what I got. There are a lot more things I could have had built in to it but I thought that was enough.. The cost was around $1000 not cheep by the time you get it all into the country. Unless you know some one who can get it in for you.. Dont thing it is to hard to fit all the wireing is behind the dash all you have to do is identify it all and conect it into a small box like brain..Sounds easy dont it..... Chris..

The unit was not cheep, as it was a one off. but it uses all the standard sensors altho when it came it came with a full set of sensors with it. All the wireing now goes to one main unit. from ther it has a harness to the dash display. The whole thing is programable with two push switches now sitting below the radio. They were also able to build a small unit into the dash mounted clock (it was broken) so that now reads time, date and outside temp. all at the touch of a switch. Chris

Thats right they made the dash for me. The Dakota bit only comes up when it's is display mode like you can see in Apache's picture. that part would normally show the miles. Trick bit is it can time your 0-60, 0-100, Standing 1/4 mile with terminal speed and loads more. I cant stop playing with it. Chris..
