Hi guys i posted a thread about improven my cams, due to the fack that one of mines is on its way out,looking at some of the prices,and by a comment being made it would not be coast effictint to go for a high cam kit,so wot i need to ask is,is there some where that i could get standerd cams at a good price,or is there someone breaking a engine were i could possible buy the cams of them,also as my car is a 1992 n/a import would this make it much harder to get the parts that i need,plus this may sound daft but is a 3liter v6 a twin cam or not,would it b all wright to just replace the cam thats on its way out or to replace the lot.obviously im trying to keep the coast down to a minimum,once again any help will be greatfull.

Hi 300 masters,i was talking to a few mates of mine who have scoobys and type r and evo, and thay were talking about high cam kits,and wot a improvement it made to there car performance,and not being a that clued up on enhancements on engines, i was wondering if this would be a good option for me to look into. So my ? is, is this a good idea,would it make a big diffrents,were would i look for a high cam kit,how much would it coast,i have a funny filling it sounds like a big job,are there diffrent types of kits,would i need to change anything els,any info on this would be much appreciated. MY car is a 1992 n/a import.:confused:

hi guys just thought id put this wee message in,now my car had faild its mot on a couple of things,but hardest part was steering cuplin. Now i hunted and hunted for won of these,and must say not alot of people new where i could get one,so i thought my only option was to go to nissan,:cry: and thay priced the cuplin at £180 so i thought id have to bite the bullet and pay :hurl:. but i thought id give it one more try to find 1 and would you beleave after a few more phone calls,i found a scrapy that had a 300zx import close to my year,when got there looked at the car and got it lifted up,and there it was a lovely looking in perfect order steering cuplin,after a wee haggle i got my part for £30 :smash:. so the moral of my long story is always look around because 9/10 you will find wot you are looking for,and the car has now got a new year of life.:dance::dance::dance:

hi guys,well im still looking for a steering cupling,and the only place that can get one na probs is nissan and we no wot thay charge :eek: so im asking for help again is there anywhere were i can get this for a 92 n/a any help and i will truely greatful.:)

hi there i no this is going to sound bad but just want to make sure im doing this wright,so all i have to do is send £20 to the address that has been shown,im with the lloyds so i take it that this should only take a day,then email you all the info that you are asking for.sorry for this i think im worse than the last person asking these ?.

dont beleave my luck,there i was on the forum last night bigging up the 300 saying how i use mine on a daily bassis and never had any trouble in the last 2 years ive had the car,go in for a mot today and it FAILED. now when he told me wot it had failed on i thought not bad for my age of car, a 92 n/a on a j.just 3. things. 1.to much play in the hand break. 2.need new front pads. 3.steering cuplink. so i thought ok not bad untill he told me the price £520 parts vat and labour now i did ask for green stuff pads as ive been told thay are good,so i checked the prices on the web site last night so i had a good idear wot thy would be,so when i asked him for the price of the pads he came back with £85 when i no you can get them for £40-£45 so this sent alarm bells threw my head. so now after my big rant my ? to you all is where can i get a steering cuplink from and how much do u think it would be,now ive been told close to £200 is this true,and is the green stuff the best pads for my car if not wot should i get and how much would thay be.SO PLEASE HELP IN ANY WAY YOU CAN, as you just cant trust garages.:( :( :( :(

where would be the best place to look for these sort of things,gear sticks stearing wheels,dashes,all this sort of stuff,as i have to admit im not that clued up on places to look for these parts,half of the time i just look threw here to c wot i can find???

your not wrong there gear knob is the pits,same with the stearing wheel, would like to replace them both,but yet to see a nice auto gear stick.

hi there 300 lovers,just to say i am surprised to here that alot of 300,are not at there best most of the time,i have had mine now for just over two years,and it is used as my dialy car as its the only car ive got lol,and im very happy to say its never let me down yet,now its a n/a so i no there is a wee bit less to go wrong with it,but even so its a 92 import and it has dun a few miles,but wot can i say its the best car ive ever had,so big up the 300zx.

hi there 300 lovers i have a wee ?,i needed to take my spoiler for one reason or another,anyway as it was off i must admit i did like the look of the car with no spoiler,at pressent the car has its spoiler back on,but my ? is if i took it off and kept it of would it effect the over all handerling of the car. your advise would be more than welcome. :)

OK this does not happen all the time,but mainly when the car has been sitting for a wee while. 1.When i turn her over revs shoot up to about 1700 and bounce up and down between this and 700. 2.When i put her in gear revs drop below 400 and she cuts out,but if i leave her running for a few mins 8/10 times does not cut out,but revs still bounceing. 3.But i have notice that when i turn her over,i hear crackerling behind my dash,and this crackerling is in time with the revs bounceing,and if there is no niose 9/10 the revs are normal. :confused: :( The car is a 92 import N/A
