Well i just dont no,ive looked about for this gear box and ive seen a few for sale here and there,but my gut just says dont trust them,surely there is some one on this forum with all the knowlegde and savvy that can point me in the right direction for a n/a auto box.I would appreciate any help on this matter.:cry::(:cry::(

Hi there guys,has anyone delt with midlands jap parts before,as thay have a box for me but just want to no if there has been any bad dealings with them or not. Its not a bad price and comes with 3mounths warrenty,i no its pot luck with alot of places but just dont want to be ripped off.:nono:

Cheers for that,just i was speaking to a guy who had a gear box for sale but dont no if it came out of a swb or a lwb and the car been crushed so im just trying to find a way of telling the diffence so he can describe it to me and i will no wots he got with out telling him wot car ive got.;)

Hi me and my mate changed the oil,and when we drained it didnt notice any shavings,but did notice it only had about 3 liters in it,so i put the same amount back in,and when i dipped the dip stick back in it registerd full,if not a wee bit over full,but you used 8liters something not right here:( how much was a rebuild?

How do mate im going threw the same prob right now,and would you beleave i had my car sold i was going to take to the buyer today :hurl::hurl::hurl: but gear box went tits up last night as i was going for my last drive,so now im on the look out for a auto box for a n/a so if any one hears of one please give me the heads up. id rather my car be gone than see it out side not working.:cry::cry::cry:

Please i need help,was driveing the car 2day just cruising, and had a nice clear road ahead of me so i says why not and put the foot down,so the foot went down dropped gear and away she went but on reaching the top of her revs the gears didnt change and the revs just stayed high as poss untill i took the foot of the throttell,now i new this was not right at all,so i slowed her down,and things seemed fine,then i was driveing threw a town and notice that my car was not changing gears prop i.e pull away first fine second fine then as slowley increase speed revs go up but car doesnt increase in speed,as if the gears were not ingageing, and now it does this all the time,now ive checked the dip stick for the transmission and there is plenty of oil there but wot i have notice is that when i smell the dip stick it stinks off burning,could this be due to oil being to thin, or is this the thing i dont want it to be,which is gear box away,i must add revers is fine and i have no warning lights on,and just to add this is a n/a auto gear box im talking about.so please help cause i am stumped and stressed.:confused::confused::cry::cry:

My car is now in auto trader and pistonheads,cant beleave im still wanting to do things to it,like better clocks and now im thinking of doing up the interior,just cant let go.:confused::confused::confused:

Hi mate it was a air flow valve that had stuck open at the back of the engine.that was the noise i could hear when i was reving the engine it was the air getting sucked threw the valve and hoses,which made you think there was a leak somewhere. just replaced it with a part from my spare engine.:dance:

First of all i would just like to thank every body for the help thay have given me for my wee problem with the car,the imformation i was given was great.Well ive found the trouble maker. This rubber hose is drawing in air from the unit on the right,when you clamp this hose or just pinch it with pliers the revs drop down to normal and when you let go thay shoot back up to 1500.:confused:

This is wots happend,week ago car went to hight revs 1500rpm,not come down,was told could be TPS.Went to a garage thay had a look said voltage was wrong on the TPS which need adjusted thay couldnt so thay put back on,and on i went,but on the way home the car started jumping by this i mean revs shot from say 1500 to 2500 back down to 1000 up to 2000 and so on,when finaly got home left the car.got my self another TPS and fitted it, drove it revs were still high 1500 but no jumping asked some ? and was told how to adjust my TPS to propper voltage,so went round my freinds and we got the TPS sitting at 0.44 which is ok.but still revs sitting at 1500 left his house and with in 30sec car was jumping same as before, got home and just had it running lifted bonnet,and started reving the engine at this point i notice i could hear iver a sucking noise or blowing noise comeing from the engine,which has made me beleave that this could probably now be a vacum problem. What is your opinion on this and if vacum would this cause this prob ,and wot are the main hoses i should be looking out for and where,any help on this would be truely greatfull as i now have no hear left.:headvswal:headvswal:headvswal:headvswal

Hi guys well hear we go,a week ago my car started hight reving 1500rpm and it wont go down ,now ive change my TPS and that has not dun the trick,now i no its got to be one of the sensors that controll the throttel but i just dont no how many there are or where thay are, ive had to put my car on hold now as i was in the middel of selling it :cry: but i cant now untill this prob is solved.Another prob is that there is no auto electrical specialist out there that can help because thay dont have a diognostic for my car.:shock: so i need help, wot do i look for and where. :confused:
