Hi bud no i havent,just went down to a place with a rolling road but thay would only be able to tell me the speed diffrence but would not be able to adjust the speedo cause thay didnt no how :(

Hi guys me again,as ive been doing the car up a bit id though id try and get this prob sorted,now these are the speedo ive had on the car sence i bought it. My prob is thy dont run true,in fact thay are way out,ive never seen the speedo go above 55mph,so wot to do and how to sort the prob,any help please:bow:

Hi 300 lovers,this is my prob. Ive just put a replacement engine into my car,and it wont start.The symptoms are as follows. 1.I have no spark 2. have no fuel getting threw But wot is happing is,when the ignition is turnd on fuel is pumped up to fuel filter,which says fuel pump is working,im told this is my primery which indecats that the ECU is working,i have power going threw to the ingectors,but once engine is turned over i have no spark and no fuel,ive been told this could be cause of my crank sensor,is this correct or is there something els you think it might be that could cause these symptons.If it is crank sensor were is this located, my car is a 1991 n/a auto, i would be most greatfull for any help,car has now been off the road for a week and a half and i want it back.

Hi guys im going to be putting a replacement engine back into my car this weekend with the help of a few of my mates,now ive got new timeing belt, oil fillter, new oil,now i was going to get new idelers and new tensioner,new thermastat,and new silicon hoses for the radiator,anything els that you think is a must to get, please let me no as i need to get all this befor weekend :eek: Plus is there a standerd way of taken one of these engine out,or is it a case of trial and erro :hyper: many thanks for any help.

Hi 300 lovers. ive just got a replacement engine for my car and im looking for silicone hoses to put on,wheres the best place.Plus ive seen some manifolds on ebay for a n/a which i have by the way,from a place called 2fast2cool,any comments on this shop as ive not seen them b4 :confused:

Hi guys just a few wee ?,will a 1991 n/a auto engine fit straight into a 1992 n/a auto. And i have notice that my car will not rev over 5500 when driven,is this due to the fact that its a auto,or is it because it has a restriter on it or is there another reason.:confused:

True wot you guys are saying about getting my engine fix,but the simple facts are it all boils down to the dosh,and i just havent got enough for a rebuild,getting a engine is the cheapest option.:cry:

Well thats it,with all the help and advise and the people that have seen my car,we have come to the conclusion that the bottom end is away, one of the wee bearings.:hurl: So as i love the 300 that much i am keeping the car and getting another engine,spoke to a few on the forum and have a few options,once again just like to thank every one for the advice i got.So now we start all over again,like ive said ive seen a few engines and enquired about them,so is there any advise and tips on wot i should be looking for, before i do the final deal Plus can anyone tell me where the engine number is located.:bow:

The sound is hard to hear when im driveing,as the sound of the exhaust drowns out any noise,the only time you can hear it is when you accelerate,for about 4-6 seconds ,cant hear it at top end.:confused:

ya that sounds more like the right plug i just most prob heard paul wrong,ive recorded the sound on my phone and am now trying to get it on youtube so you can hear it, cause i no my description i gave was a bit vague.:nelson:

Hi 300 lovers,well its a sad head ach day,THE STORY IS Ive been getting a tapping niose from my engine for the last mounth,first i was told bottom end :hurl:, then told cams,then told valves lifters,now after getting good help on the forum,it seem to be more than liokey valves lifters as the 300 are pron for this prob,so once again i went and got another opp from a former 300 lover,and as soon as he herd the engine he says bottom end :cry:. After speaking to a few more people on the forum,i find there not many ways of telling this unless the engine comes out :cry:. But wot i was told by paul@swb thanks for the help by the way paul,was to disconect my bbt plug which is at the back of the engine,then turn the car over and if i still hear a nocking niose then its my bottom end is away,so my ? is can any one show me a pic of wot im looking for as im not the greatest when it comes to engines,or any advise would be greatfull.:bow:

yeah it stiil makes a noise even when the car is well warmed up,got to say i just hate hearing any noise that comes from the car apart from the lovely roar from the exhaust.

Hi there i had one of my mates have a look,the symptoms are,started to hear a tapping noise as i accelerate,and it has started to get louder,its like metal tapping against each other,when you lift the bonet and slowly increase the revs you can hear the noise coming from the top of the engine just on the left side of the oil cap,i have done a full oil change and put cam solution yesterday,but has made no difrence.im not that clued up on engines so im just going by wot im being told, and wot i can hear myself.
