  1. Fitted a cooler, droped the sump, flushed strainer and fitted new gasket. Strainer was very clean anyway. Not much on the sump magnet either. Filled the rad & rubber pipes with atf first then connected & clamped the pipes to the rad, filled back up through the dipstick with the same amount that came out. Ran fine before. Now I took it out last night after and levels seem fine, smooth changes, kicks down great - no problem. Took it out this morning and got stuck in traffic, now seems that when I slow down gently from about 15mph to 0 it lurches just before I stop, almost like I've droped a gear and lightly blipped the throttle! Except my foot is on the brake when this happens. Pulling the stick out of park seems rougher than before too. Diagnostic gives me 10 flashes all the same! Any ideas? jay
  2. Cheers guys I've a couple of chome paints, HoK Kustom Krome, but I used Alclad Chrome this time as the HoK stuff is very unforgiving and it's a fiddly bit to paint! The key is the prep. The smoother the gloss black base the better the chrome.
  3. Cool, I didn't see it but this was a few weeks ago I went up there. Pauls crazy dog was keeping me more busy with objects to throw about haha :)
  4. 125c to get em apart for about 10 minutes (but right at the bottom of the oven). But to put it back I did it again at the bottom at 65c for about 20 mins otherwise the chrome paint would blister. That sealant they use is hardcore stuff lol.
  5. Where about's are you to in Brizzle mate? G* SE* is the first zed i've seen on the roads for about 8 months, apart from all the ones at swz. I'm in Hanham myself
  6. Ahha! G* SE *This is the zed I saw yesterday in redfield/st george! Own up whoever you are
  7. Ahha! This sounds like the zed I saw yesterday in redfield/st george! Own up whoever you are
  8. theres one on ebay at the moment mate. starting bid is a 1'er though!
  9. Wanted to get rid of the orange diffuser inside so rather than cut it up & get the bits out I took the long road. One thing that annoyed me more is that apart from the orange bit is that the inside is white/light grey plastic. The only chrome is the reflector. here it is after being in the oven: Primed up the inside, then a nice coat of gloss black which is needed to apply the chrome. Final result with one of those bulbs that light orange but are silver when off. Definitely updated the look I think, whatcha rekon?
  10. 95TT J spec. Driving along quite happily in the city with dipped beam on. Go somewhere with less light so on come the high beams. However someone is coming towards me so the high beams go off for a sec. The problem is that I can do this for a while, turning the high beams off and then back on - about 5 changes in a 10 minute period. But then I start getting a weird delay. High beam off, then back on after a few seconds except they don't come on. Takes about 10-20 seconds for the light as if they are 'charging' back up. Now if I leave the stalk on high beam and wait for the light the dipped beam is dimmer than if I just have the stalk not kept on high beam. Very weird this because while this happens it's damn hard to see where I'm going. Anyone got any ideas? ta, jay
  11. Saw you going up through Redfield right by the Aldi store - G reg I think, you were in a suit! Who were ya?
  12. I'm with Carol Nash here. Say you've a Jap import & try speaking to a chap called Will. - I have an agreed value (although i've not started any power mods yet). Bloke got me a good deal - Full breakdown cover in Uk and Europe. £100 excess. 15k miles a year....
  13. Well I got some. If you want some cheap then goto Bristol Transmissions on the fishponds trading estate. Bloke measured me out 8 litres of Dexron 3 all for the princely sum of £20. :)
  14. Tried loads of places this morning. Nissan don't sell it to the public anymore apparently. I can get 500ml from a motor factors (small forture!) but I need 5 litres at least. anyone know where to get it in large amounts? jay ---
  15. anyone else able to confirm? The ones in my zed are different to these - the top where the wires come out is narrower for longer! Plus are the same wires & colours etc all identical.
  16. Same colour as mine :) BUT Jesus 17,000 euros is £11,801,49 ! That is insane pricing
  17. Got some o2 sensors from concept zed performance today. Ordered a a set for 1994-1996 Twin Turbo. Parts I've gotten are 22690-30P00 & 22690-40P10. Having looked to double check these look to me like the pair required for a 90-93 TT? Anyone able to confirm as I was sure one should be 22690-48P00 for a 94 onwards? cheers jay ---
  18. Apache: Where did you feed off the interior light circuit? If you could give me a rough location that would be amazing - I don't fancy sitting upside down al afternoon poking about with a multimeter lol!
  19. Cool, I'm thinking how to retro wire mine in - I've got the clear plastic ring but bloody Nissan cut costs on mine by not connecting it or even a bulb. Got a led in there now with some wire sticking out.
  20. How does yours turn on? Does it come on with the lights or when you open the door etc? jay
  21. Was looking at the pics of your new exhaust (v nice) but also the tinted windows. They look extremely well done from those pics. Anything special about those tints? Who did em? cheers jay

  23. Breathable car cover - you have pm! :)
  24. Thanks mate :) I will say that your install was the only one I have found on the net that is the 'oem' look and very nice job too. Kinda inspired me to do it shall i say. You should have seen my face though when i did the test fit and it would not go in. I seriously thought I was going to have to scrap the screen and go slightly smaller.
  25. Thanks :) Update 2: Screen in situ. Still got to tidy up the boot where its all wired up & sort out the software! :)
