Where will i get a datscan? I ken it seems like i ken f**k all about my car, but i've only had it 4 days!!!

i bought it from mrsimonto on here. I'm sure it's standard. Its only had the fuel lines (smithy's) an the ptu replaced. The emissions test was carried out by a guy from west lothian council. and said that the hydrocarbon levels we're reading off the scale! But, on the topic of MOT failure, i thought that the emissions were only tested if the car was manufactured after 1992, when the catalytic converter regulations were introduced? Would i be wrong in thinking that?

Cheers guys. I dinnae really ken my way around the engine bay yet, so i was thinking that i could put it to Dastek (or similar) and see wot they could do.

Ok guys, here we go again! Erm, i was at the local market this afternoon and had a emissions test carried out. Erm.........didnt come back very good! Because of the overfuelling, the guy carrying out the test reckons it's a straight MOT failure! :cry: SO.......my question is: Does anyone know of how this is fixed? Is it just a matter of taking to a garage and getting them to tweek the ECU to reduce the fuelling levels?????? Cheers for any help!

This might sound like a really daft question, but since im new to this, you'll need to excuse me! I started up the zed this morning and as i was driving to work, the HICAS alert appeared. Can anyone let me into what it is? I get a bit worried about alerts that appear and i dinnae ken what they are!

Very nice buddy! I ken this is a change of subject, but who did your retrim? I was looking at getting z centre to retrim mine in the same colours with a black "Z" in the middle, where your's says 300zx!

Hey guys I'm picking up my zed tomorrow and im not sure of the last time it was serviced. I'm was looking around on the net for a new set of spark plugs. I found 6x HKS plugs for £80 including delivery..............wots everyone's thoughts? Is that expensive? Could anymore recommend a cheaper alternative???
