  1. i spoke to a few guys from work, who did this trip in june. They were taking an 03 plate Focus RS. The owner told me he had: Complete fluid change Service (filters, plugs etc) 4 new tyres Discs and Pads all round And that amounted to just short of a grand.....before he even put petrol in the car! This is partially the reason why im rebuilding my suspension, in preparation for this.
  2. Just wondering, if i drop the rear rear subrame off, (looking to replace the subframe bushes) Will i need a jig or anything to position it back correctly? I've spoken with a few people who said they'd need to jig their cars if they dropped the subframe and i just wondered if it's the same thing with ours.

Wouldnt we be pushing it, looking for a good attendance soo soon after the last meet? lol. Just kidding. I'd be up for it.......if it's in december! I know that seems like a strange request but these'sa few places having them early and im going onto 12 hours shifts at work this weekend.
  6. Sapphire Blue is the best colour ;)
  7. Im sure CraigTT had that on his old zed, a couple of years ago. Not my cup of tea but the rest of the car looks nice.
  8. Dont think that's jimmer's zed. He has a 99-spec rear spoiler.
  9. I had very similar symptoms on my shorty. Upon breaking the zed, i discovered that the air flow meter was knackered.
  10. Mine is running well.......on axle stands! :D
  11. Noted. Cheers bud :duffer:
  12. You thinking along the lines of they wont be sealing properly and letting gasses past the rings? Wouldnt a compression test confirm if they're leaking?
  13. bright minds think alike ;)
  14. preferably july but i could probably make any of those three.
  15. :o thats some spec! I've got my eyes peeled for the "For Sale" threads........
  16. I thought the same last year but about hamilton doing nothing this year!
  17. I 100%, couldnt agree more with you, craig!
  18. Pre-95???? I thought the change-over date for the non-cat / cat limits was in 92.
  19. what condition are your turbo's in? Normally, removing cats can lead to exposing turbos on their way out. IIRC, pre-1992 cars have a different set of emissions thresholds for the mots They allow for higher levels since catalytic converters hadnt been made mandatory yet.
  20. I'm intending on putting on a set of r33 GTR calipers, eventually. I was running the Wiperslot 4000 discs (r33-GTR size) with porterfield RS-4 pads on my shorty. but when i swapped the set-up onto my LWB, i just used the red stuff pads that were already on it. Will be putting a new set of porterfields onto in before i put my zed back on the road though.
  21. Nice one! Congrats bud.
  22. I was the same as you Cyrus. I has just spent a bit on an engine build but needed to do something with my brakes in the meantime. So i opted for the DBA Wiperslot discs and relocation brackets that Dan @ DTA sells. I found a big difference in the braking effects since the contact patch was further away from the centre of the hub. Meaning you'd get more leverage for the same amount of pressure on the pedal.
