Changed my user Name
Thought my "name" was a bit boring for a user ID so changed it to something equally stupid :D I'm on the run from the Police Camera Unit so keeping a low profile. ;) They actually caught up with me so dont think your safe by just leaving the country. :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal :headvswal Andy

Most common MOT failure points?
Tell me about it. The amount of trucks i've seen that have lost rear axels or front wheels coming away from the car due to ball joints breaking is un-believeble Where abouts in Canada are you Andy

Who's got a Pearl white Zed??????
Finland? I guess no Z's made it there then?

Who's got a Pearl white Zed??????
To be honest I wanted a black Z back all them years ago, but manual was my top priority and the car had to be immaculate. Searched for ages until I saw the add for mine. I had only ever seen flat white Z's before and when I saw the car I fell in love. I personally think the white color shows off the lines of the car alot better than other colours but I guess thats a personal preference. Pearl white certainly looks good on a sunny day! ;)

Who's got a Pearl white Zed??????
Just currious as when I bought mine many moons ago it was the first one I had ever seen. I've come across plenty of UK flat white ones but only ever seen one other pearl white in the flesh which my mate now owns. I'm pretty sure it was the most expensive paint option in Japan being a three stage paint. Maybe thats why you dont see that many?? or maybe its just me not looking hard enough. I know a few members here have it so put your hand up if you got one ;)

new to the 300zx
Its far more fun when you see the likes of Porches and M3's vanishing in your rear view mirror ;)

Most common MOT failure points?
Get this. Out in Canada a car only has to have a safety (MOT) when you buy it. If you keep the car for 20 years or more it doesn't have to be checked once! only when you come to sell it. Sounds good but f**king dangerous if you ask me :nono:

Comparisons with fridges? I see it as more of a space shuttle or concord! ;) Best colour ;) And the fastest :x: Welcome Andy

Most common MOT failure points?
Imports dont need to checked for emmisions which is why you can decat a 92 onwards import. Not sure if this has changed with the new MOT's though? (just noticed yours is a UK so doesn't apply) ;)

Most common MOT failure points?
Another point worth mentioning. If any of the front or rear steering components have to be replaced best get the whole car tracking lasser aligned. Out of aligned wheels are not good for handling of tyre wear ;)

Most common MOT failure points?
Mine has never failed a MOT luckily but I was advised on rear tie rods attached to the Hicas. Swiftly replaced them. I have seen a few Z's with really bad play there causing the rear end to feel a bit skippy. Seems to be a common problem. ;) Good luck Andy

pics of my new rims
They would look better if they were attached to a Z  Nice ;)

Just how reliable are Z's
All cars are going to need a bit of welding eventualy if their driven in normal conditions. Yours still looks cosmeticaly spot on in the pic ;)

Lost !!
Couldn't agree more. I get loads of American TV here out in Canada and its all F**king tosh! So much bullsh*t its unbeliveble! At least there is BBC Canada & BBC world so I still get to watch Top Gear :hyper:

Just how reliable are Z's
Joking apart you dont see many 1990 cars left on the road nowadays in the same condition as Zeds. Nissan certainly built these cars with quality in mind. I'm so glad that Vauxhall didn't make them. They would have all been scraped years ago.

Just how reliable are Z's
Must be a UK car :x:

Just how reliable are Z's
Guess mines be reliable but I've done lots of preventitive maintainence. Replaced so many parts in the last two years that were about to wear out. I like to keep the car In as best condition I can before things break. Always get my parts from the states and do the work myself so aint that expensive to maintain.

Look how much these Z's sell for
Makes sence. Ain't double the car is it! :x: Dont even have no turbos :nono:

pirelli zero's
I've got P Zeros Isometrics and i'm well happy with them, Not sure about wear as they havent done many miles but they certainly grip well. Back wheels dont scrable like some other brands. I've also run F1's and Mitchellins, I would say the Mitchellins last the longest and grip realy well. Pricy though

Look how much these Z's sell for
It is my intention once I'm settled to start buying and selling so I will be looking for very clean examples. At the meet last night lots of people were asking how much I can get cars for. I know what they will pay for them so even after shipping and taxes there is good money to be made. There is a rule that no cars under 15 years old allowed to be imported though. Lots of Great jap models are only just getting to 15 years old which is why now is a great time to import out here. Doesnt seem to be any dealers doing it yet which is why I want to jump on the band waggon early. I'm sure in a coulpe years the market will be flooded like the UK and cars will be worth f**k all

Look how much these Z's sell for
When I first came to Canada last year I couldn't belive how much Jap cars sell for out here. Clean 300zxTT's fetching 8-10 grand still!! I guess because fuel is cheap out here and lack of performance cars in Canada here is a link to the local Autotrader (excange is roughly $2 - 1 pound http://www.canadatrader.com/result/result.aspx?searchtype=adv&kw=&dp=&age=&kfr=1&kto=2000000&category=4000&mk=NISSAN&md=300%20ZX&yfr=1900&yto=2006&pfr=16000&pto=9999999&postal=&distance=&city=&pro=&dm=1&type=province Even RHD cars are popular now amongst the younger generation. They see it as the essence of driving(how they were designed in Japan) I saw an R32gtr,S13 and a Z32 RHD at an autocross meet last night and they all payed silly money for them. Shame they have depreciated in the UK so much  Should be able to get my money back and some if it sell it out here ;)
