this has obviously had head problems, like most of them, mainly with the rover engine. one of my neighbours has just finished doing the head on a 214 vert, but the rover engine, not white though. i dont know who has told you it would cost a £1000 to repair but they are daylight robbers. it wouldnt cost half that amount. personally, i would take it further. was it tested recently ?

sorry mate. missread the first post. thought it said something else :headvswal . the siren batteries are quite easy to replace on most. all depends on if they have security screws. start with the easiest, bonnet switch & ultrasonics if fitted.

its deffo not the battery in the siren thats at fault. does the alarm have interior ultrasonics ? & do you know what the make and model of alarm it is ?. the most common faults for alarms that go off as and when they feel like it is the ultras & then the bonnet switch.

if it starts off as an mp3 with a title, but when dragged to a wmp playlist and it changes, then wmp must be converting it. its the only explination i can come up with thats fits the bill.

some id`s are read from the the summary in properties. right click on the track, click on properties, them click on summary. what does it say the track title is there ? it may be that one that needs changing. worth a shot.

going on the plug type i think you are seriously going to struggle to get anything to fit that. would be easier, quicker and cheaper just to replace the lot.
