nah. no doubt duffer will have a go
  5. as already stated in another post. the unit is connected to the alarm system. for a turbo timer it would only have to hold a live feed to output ign wire, so doesnt need the amount of wires it has. there are however the right amount for window closure using an additional 2 relays, which would have been removed when put back to normal.
  6. rich, calm down. pmsl. hows the car anyway ?. you about tomorrow.
  7. theres too many wires for it to be a turbo timer.
  8. you may as well remove it as obviously its not doing anything if none of the wires go anywhere.

 who changed the title :x:
  10. it would originally have been connected to the total closure trigger wire from the alarm system so when you armed the alarm, it would close the windows.

if it was nobody, then it was me even though the zed was locked up. and why didnt you say you was coming over this end. i could have popped over to annoy you. and did you come in the uniform ? :D:rofl:
  12. im 99% sure its a timer module going on what it says where the connections are. ive seen things like this before. looking at the way the wires are, i would say that it was a total closure unit for the windows, with the switch on the dash giving you the option to turn the module on/off.
  13. does the small black chip have the numbers 555 on it ?
  14. only old chargers will do that. modern ones should not blow the fuse unless theres a problem.
  15. heres a link chris http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/categories/search/battery-chargers-engine-starters-2 even if the battery aint too good, it still shouldnt blow the fuse.
  16. no battery should blow a fuse in a charger, regardless of its size. there must be something wrong somewhere. why not get one from machine mart, will be cheaper than halfrauds.:D
  17. mine is also smaller than a standard plate on the front rich, but made sure it was legal. they wouldnt put their postcode on the plate otherwise & wanted me to sign a disclaimer. not worth the hassle. i wanted black with silver digits . hows it coming on by the way ?
  18. depends what its made of. if steel, then warm it up with a blowgun as thats what most places do with very tight nuts.
  19. drivers side kick panel fuse box. take a look here to find which one http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=66739
  20. you look rather short in that pic nick. pmsl. mine is bonded on with something similar to that awful bloody stuff that the rear lights are held in with. plus 2 screws on each side on the inner lip of the boot.
  21. what you are looking for, is the box on far right, level with the 2 remotes in this pic. good luck :D
  22. there will be a shock sensor unit somewhere on the car. it should have an adjuster screw on it to alter the sensitivity. they are normally found around the centre of the car, inside. it could be either screwed, or stuck with double sided pads to something like the heater box behing the radio ect.
  23. mac, pm me your email address ;)
  24. whats the worse that can happen si ?. if your car looks too shabby, then you will have to park it inbetween the nova`s & saxo`s
