  1. Cheers Paul, you're a star, today's the first day where i sorted problem with out finding any! hopefully it'll start a trend lol
  2. so which end have i got? i thought i have the loom end, it's the other end i can't find, it's all very confusing, especially as i'm not really sure where to look lol. had a good look today with a torch and still can't see anything on either side. On the plus side, both front fogs work now, both side lights work and i got the horn working today :) sounds like a toy car though!!
  3. It's a never ending saga with this car :rant:still I wanted a project so tomorrow I shall look for the other connections. The two i can find seem to be coming from the loom. I have no idea where to look for the other connectors other than down the side of the block.
  4. Thanks guys, I'll have a look for them when I do the PCV valves in the near future. It's definitely a TT chassis as it has the hicas rear etc. I checked the boost today by flooring it on the dual carriage way and the needle only came up half way between 0 and +7 I did a check for error codes and got a 55 which is nothing wrong I'm lead to believe?
  5. First things first, I pretty sure this is the boost solenoid connection: Trouble is i can't for the life of me find the other end that it plugs into and with no boost controller my car sucks on the power stakes :( On a different/possibly related thing, i found the hose thats been blocked off: I get the feeling the car has had a boost controller in the past but it doesn't now and I don't intend to fit one just yet, it would just be nice for it to boost above "6" on the stock gauge. On a plust note, the front of the car is fitted with coil overs :D
  6. They are probably for "other channels" on the alarm system. For example with a solenoid installed one could pop the boot and the other could be used as a remote start (if the alarm is capable)
  7. Well if Jon would rather grab yours as it's off the car already that's fine with me buddy.
  8. You'll have to email me to sort it out seeing as you can't use the PM facility or anything. atkinson289@hotmail.com
  9. How quick are you after one? I plan on removing this one off of mine in the next couple of months:
  10. All true, I have just sold my ST205. Clutches can be expensive to replace as well, and a knock or bang from the centre of the rear on a hard luanch means a new diff mount will be needed. 300+bhp is easily achievable for very little, one more thing to add about suspension is the cost of upgrading. Standard shocks aren't too keen on having lowering springs fitted, so up rated shocks are normally needed and coil overs on a 205 cost £600 but require a lot of work to fit as the knuckles need to be swapped over. Direct bolt on cost £1.5k+ My advice, buy the best you can, st185 £1500+ should net you a good one with sensible mods although if the boost has been upped, check it's had a metal HG fitted. If it's had a FCD fitted walk away unless it has had A LOT of supporting engine mods. st 205 £3-3.5k should get you a decent standard one, always buy on condition not age, £4k+ should see a decent modded one with 300+ bhp HTH
  11. No problem, unless you want a quick sale I say start high (but not unrealistic) and lower the price a bit at a time depending on interest. Hope you get a good price for your car.
  12. I say start high and lower the price if you get no serious interest. Any thing is only worth what people are willing to pay, not what they are up for sale at.
  13. Thanks Baz, OOOOO I'm registered now so check the for sale section ;)
  14. So other than Baz Dobbing parts the parts I've yet to take off my car ;), can anyone tell me if what I think I need is right?
  15. The pics were taken at a nearby industrial estate. It don't look to bad till you get up close, but once I've changed the exhaust, fixed the horn the body work will be getting some attention.
  16. Don't talk to me about the wiring, some twat in it's past has botched so much of it, the horns don't work, the electric mirrors fold in but don't adjust and just putting the stereo in and removing the turbo timer saw me remover a good 3-4m of redundant wiring. Add to that the welding that needs doing, the body work that needs doing, I have a good few months of work ahead of me :( on that alone, with out trying to figure out why it's only making 270bhp when other 300's with the samer mods are over 300............
  17. Failing on the MASSIVE chunk of wheel rim missing at 2.58 as well..........
  18. I have ammassed a lot of bits for sale, but untill my membership has gone through, it'll have to wait :(
  19. Trouble is it sounds like a scooby which straight away makes people think "TWAT", I don't think I have ever witnessed a scooby not revved up to the red line in the first 2 gears just to get "that" sound If the GT4 is not for you, then get an EVO. Falling that plump for a GTR skyline.................
  20. Just before I go off an order some bits, just wanted to check I got this as right as I think I have. My car has a single exit, which doesn't look that good, sounds great but is to loud for long trips. So as far as I can see, the car appears to have de-cats already fitted, and to them is bolted a "Y" piece. I take it an "H" section (for a SWB obviously) would bolt on to the de-cats and then it's just a case of having some back boxes made up? Heres some pics and a video of the system plus the rust I found which shouldn't be too hard to sort out. DRIVERS SIDE JUST BEHIND REAR WHEEL: PASSENGERS SIDE JUST BEHIND REAR WHEEL:
  21. It's an impreza, Best avoided IMO, chocolate pistons (unless you get the WRX version I think) and to be honest normally driven by either fat single men trying to pull yuong girls or chavy twats. The evo is a better car, but more costly to service, for an every day car I would and did plump for the GT4 St205, cheaper to buy, cheaper to run, less maintenance, better looking and just as quick if not quicker. Only down side is it's a 2 door and the boot isn't massive so if it's a family car you're after then probably not what you'd want.
  22. Well the 300 was a little dirty when I picked it up, and I've not had the time to do anything about it until today, well yesterday now lol. Cleans up pretty well, but due to the body needing some tidying and some welding, it's gonna get worse before it gets better.......
  23. Fair enough, my paypal says pending till 8th July which is when the money cam out of my account. I knew it was paid with an echeque, hence waiting till now to say anything, but this is the first I've heard of it pending till the 14th.
  24. Paid for my membership on the 3rd of July via paypal, money has defo come out of my bank account on the 8th (paypal still says pending though) so can someone check for me please. This is the Unique Transaction ID #0VC995544P8689639 Cheers Brendan
