  1. Happy Birthday mate!!!!
  2. I really have no idea at the figs but from following what you've been doing to it I can't wait to see it!!!
  3. That's what I was thinking. My insurers know it started life as an auto and is now a manual. Guess I'll get onto the DVLA asap then to get the V5 changed... Cheers! Vig
  4. I guess....cheers for the input guys...
  5. Lucky you! I've got the inner and outer sills for a 2+2 just sitting here. I bought them brand new and specially made for mine just before xmas but turned out the rust wasn't bad enough to warrant using them Was going to list them up for sale sometime this week but hadn't got around to it. I'd be looking to get back what I paid for them but let me know if you're interested. I'll stick up a for sale thread tomorrow...
  6. Mine says under the heading 'Model/Type - 300 ZX TURBO AUTO'. Just being cautious as not sure what effect it will have on insurance, etc. Obviously insurance is on a manual (changed when I renewed) but if I were to make a claim, insurance companies being as they are, they may try to use this to void the policy?? Basically looking to switch insurers to a specialist with an agreed value but want to make sure all other aspects are sorted in time too.
  7. I went for the manual conversion quite a while ago now but completely forgot to update my V5. Just reading up on the dvla portal and it doesn't specify that I need to update it for this change. Should I still update? Have others done this? did you have any problems??
  8. Easy fix then....cancel the sasle to the Greek on basis of him not abiding by the listing and offer 2nd chance to the other guy.
  9. 'Because of my divorce settlement ' 'as a woman without driver`s license' 'Please e-mail me at : jameswilcox04@aol.com' Something doesn't add up!
  10. Blaady hell that's mahoosive! lol..and you can stil get your golf clubs in there?? I thought you meant you stuck the sub IN the well itself which is what I was thinking of...not sure if it's even possible. Do you not get any reverberations from the empty well then? I would have thought with the subs pounding there might be some? Cheers for the pics though...off to your rides to check out the specs now!
  11. Thanks bud...I figured I may as well ditch the spare tyre as it wouldn't fit over my calipers anyways ( i think!). Besides...my car is too low to drive with the spare on anyways! lol... Tyreweld is a good idea though..didn't think of that. Did you not stick anything else in the well then to reduce distortion/rattles, etc...?? Do you have any pics/writeups? Cheers dude
  12. They don't look half bad! I might have go at fabricated these mdf 'sandwich' plates then! :cool3:
  13. I love meeting the Carerra 4/4s boys on a long drive...always puts a smile on my face ;-)
  14. Hellraiser - how did you get the sound proofing on the inner panels? Is it possible to take the panels apart on the door or do you just need small hands??
  15. lo...OH! I'll see what I can dig out!
  16. Cool. Would you be able to check the amp at all? No massive rush. As for the sub and box, I'm down in London so can't pickup but am happy to arrange a pickup from you if that's cool? Do you want to pm me your addy and when would be good for you? Say end of this week/week after next? Cheers
  17. Cheers dude...I think that'll probably be the route I need to go down...just want to see if anyone has a definitive answer for me before I go mutilating the Zed!
  18. 19. WOW! Are they working? lol...I wasn't looking to spend too much money on this setup as it's just a stop gap but your offer is sweet! :walkman: Only problem is...I can't make Jeff's bash  I'd be more than happy to paypal you something if you want though?? In which case let me know if the amp is inc on the offer? Cheers bud!
  20. Cheers bud (I presume a pic and not the enclosure!)
  21. I assume you're referring to the sub and box combo? As I've got a sub already I think that should be enough for now. As for the amp...I think I will need one but not sure what/which one as I know nothing! lol...I'll try and have a read on it all and see what my needs are and get back to you? If you could PM me a price though would certainly help. Cheers bud
  22. That's the problem...I have no idea what the specs of my headunit are. It came with the car....I do have a 12" sub too which I'm hoping to stick in the boot so I guess I may as well invest in an amp to run both... Cheers
  23. I'm afraid I'm not bud....work have me in the office every weekend from now til mid-March :2guns: Would you mind posting up a pic perhaps? Cheers
