  1. Unless you added 'Fairy' you shouldn't get foam. This is either trapped air in the system or obviously air getting in somewhere. Ensure all connections are tight, open the radiator cap, sqeeze and squeeze the top rad pipes to pump the air around and out of your system keeping an eye out on the radiator neck for escaping bubbling air and refill.
  2. Hang on peeps.....its not all bad. Ever since I entered manhood I have been dying to re-kindle my childhood, and now I have the opportunity. Just been in the loft and have found my old lego bricks.... I now have the perfect picture to build from.:dance::dance::xxx:
  3. Well......................did it work? Let us all know the out come.
  4. Hi matey. 300zx.org.uk Tech index button 'click on' Workshop manual (picture) 'drop-down menu, electrical system and start reading from about page EL 120. Hope this helps, certainly helped me when I was in the same situation.:smash:
  5. Try this thread mate. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=122546
  6. Not too sure what the whole issue is but, if the sensor is set a given temperature to start the electric fan????? You will need to install it before the water is cooled down by the radiator, otherwise it will never kick the fan in in to gear. Put a picture on here of the sensor and pipe adapter, I bet someone has installed one on the site before.
  7. Just to back up Ruishy, 2fast 2cool on ebay do sell that part, as thats where I got my exhaust. Best giving them a ring to make sure that they will sell the middle section on its own though. Good luck.
  8. Its a shame to see so many being broke, but in the same breath......the more they brake, the more rare they become, like the 240/60z, and hopefully the prices will reflect in the rarity of the beast. It will become a 'cult' motor if not already.
  9. Very cool mate. Take it you didn't get chance to MOT her? I will defo want to see ya motor now, looks very clean. Nice one.
  10. Just read that article, and have seen it moving at a local track day. I think there's been a challenge made by 'Jap performance', is there anyone who can prove that there motor pushes out more than 604 bhp at the crank, 512 at the wheels? If anyone can, i should imagine the mag would like to hear about it. This Zed is owned by Mark Moseley?????
  11. :hyper:Cheers to all that replied, it looks like DTA's the way to go. Dan, expect aphone call. Thanks all. Tony
  12. Can anyone please recommend a make and where to purchase. I have a standard brake set-up, but as the fronts need replacing, I might as well do all. I fancy vented? Mnay thanks. Tony.

  17. Been away for a bit. live between Bury st' and Thetford, work near kings lynn.
  18. If the dash surround is held on with double-sided sticky foam tape, it's the same as what i had. I removed the switched and dash surround and 'carefully' using a hot air gun(not too hot or a hair dryer), applied some heat and used a blunt screwdriver to gently prise the ali from the plastic. Try to remove the sticky tape from the ali and leave it on the plastic, once the ali is off you can remove the tape from the plastic by rubbing with a soft cloth and using a dab of white spirit. 'Word of warning', obviously you have no idea the condition of the surround under the aliminium, and take your time. Good luck mate.
  19. Whole bottom half folded up under the car, i then run over it. Nice. I've decided on the Scarab front end from the Zcentre. Ta anyway.
  20. Too many high kurbs, too low the front end. I have just hit and smashed to pieces my fibreglass SE MONZA nose cone. Anyone know where I can get a replacement. I've checked out Z-centre but was thinkng someone might know where elese to look. Many thanks
  21. Just finished re-covering my interior. As well as the leatherette i also purchased some 5mm foam of which i bulked up the door cards with. I used 3M scotch grip adhesive that you can buy either in a tin that you spoon out and spread or, in a tube. This has around 5 minutes setting time, so it allows for some manipulation when lining up the edges. I also went to one of those nasty cheap shops and bought a pack of 20 super-glue for those times where you will need instant adhesion (very handy).
  22. If you hold any qualifcatiions that prove that you are employed in any technical/mechanical trade, you will be entitled to a trade card. Just take your certificate/s to Halfords and sign on the dotted line. I know that they are a rip off, but they can be handy at times.:hurl: Example. New battery £89, + discount = £37 Wiper blades £19.99 + discount = £5.07
  23. Just when ya think that you've seen it all. Check out the Ferrari look alike on ebay. 'Stickers should be banned' :smw: Look at 300zxfor sale.
  24. Yes mate, what you have said is the way of doing it. Make sure that you 'key up' the surface so as that your base primer sticks. A good tip when using masking tape is to place it onto a piece of material first ie clothing, carpet etc before using it on your rims, this way some of the adhesion is lost on the tape & is less likely to pull your paint off when removing. Allow plenty of time for paint to dry between coats.
  25. I'm at Barnham mate, small village between Thetford and Bury St Edmunds. Let me know mate. tony(dot)osterberg(at)hotmail.co.uk
