Swapping over.
Cheers for the help all. Zedworld is still very tempting though; all I have to do is convince the mrs that investing more money into Zed 6 months before our wedding is the right thing to do! Ermmm, or i could just spend some of the wedding fund and get it sorted............or spend all of it!!!...wow, i'd certainly own a cool Zed then, i'd have no balls......but i would have a nice manual car.lol.

Hi all, Can someone tell be if an autobox off a 96TT will swap over into a 90TT. Also my autobox has the hold/power switch as it is an import, if the donar car is a UK spec and dosen't have this switch can the gearbox still be fitted but without the function of the switch???? Many thanks. Tony

grrrrr help? alternator fubared now?
With your car reving around 2000-2500rmp the alternator should output at around 13.5 to 14.5V. If it is less than this you may have a diode breaking down in the alternator. Still strange that it has only happened post having fitted your Hids.

grrrrr help? alternator fubared now?
Were these the Voltage readings when you had the lights on? Was the battery under load?

Silicone will hold it, but you will never get it off again.

Wheel Bearing Fitting Price
Get the wheel bearing Rob and take it to MT. A packet of hob nobs/crate of bear, not that hard to do, sounds step to me.

The Controversial colour of MATTE BLACK...!!
Just to let you know that if you coat the black with lacquer for protection, you will end up with a gloss/shiney black car. There are special matt/satin proffesional paints on the market that are more resistant to chip etc. Something else to take in to consideration is that you will have to be careful washing and cleaning the car. If you need to remove insects/marks etc, you could actually polish the matt paint surface away as you rub/polish. This is the hardest paint to maintain looking good. A slight brush up against a hedge or something and you will be left with a nice 'chalky' mark. Vinyl seems like a safer option.

back again
Good to hear from ya matey, thought you were giving up on the old girl???? Not much going on in the region at the moment. I know Coolq and Gonzo get together from time to time, worth keeping an eye on the regions threads.
