  1. Craig? No, I don't remember any Craig! How did you manage to join 2 years after me!?
  2. Just out of interest, I was wondering whether anyone knew the whereabouts of my old Z. I sold it in 2000 to a guy who ran a pub near Crawley. Registration number at the time was HAZ 2 300. It was a Cherry Red twin turbo. Recognisable bits at the time were a Paul Bailey rear wing (massive ironing board thing), big brakes, 18" Antera wheels, boost gauge on the A pillar, a weird auto shifter (can't remember what make). Just wondered if its still around. And Hi to anyone who remembers me! Dave
  3. Not very often! But I do occasionally pop in!
  4. No, Lambo not mine - if only. Just parked up next to it at a B&B near Mallory Park and, the next day, was overtaken by it on the track. Hi Gio - I'm fine thanks - hope you are too. Nice to see some familiar names still around. Mac seems to post as much as he always did!!! Dave
  5. Hmmm - seems the links didn't work.
  6. Not been here for a long time and was just wondering if my old car is still around. Hi to the few who may remember me! Dave
  7. You say that Tim but I'm driving a Honda Civic 1.4 and a Vauxhall Movano van these days - hardly a step up ! Haven't been here for months but nice to see the odd name I still recognise. Hi to all who know me. Dave
  8. I don't pop back that often but every once in a while ... Craig & I had a quick re-union drink down in Wales a couple of months ago. It was just like the good old days when I used to go round his house. Except Warren wasn't there ! Has anyone seen my Z or know where it is ? I just checked on the DVLA website and it seems to have changed owners. I won't quite the whole reg on here but it was on an Irish plate, with 300 as the last 3 numbers. It was a maroon Jap TT LWB, 19" Antera wheels, big brakes, big whale spoiler. I sold it to a guy in Crawley. I miss it :(
  9. I went up through a gap in the cloud and the gap was getting bigger so it wasn't quite as brave as it looks. But it WAS awesome. You're right though, you can't go upside down with a paraglider unless you try REALLY hard ! Dave
  10. P.S. email is dave at daveandrach.com
  11. I fly paraglider and paramotor. Paramotoring is the lightest form of microlight and is the cheapest and easiest way to get into powered flight. Kit is £5,000 or so new (less second hand) and training can easily be had for less than a grand. Some people even teach themselves (I wouldn't recommend this!). A picture I took a few weeks ago : http://www.paraventure.co.uk/images/Bedlinog%20above%20cloud%205.jpg If anyone wants any more info, drop me an email (don't come on here very often). Dave
  12. That's bang out of order. What a cheek - trying to charge for software which allows you to steal other people's copyrighted material. Next thing they'll be arresting people for nicking people's cars.
  13. Oh no ! Still saving weight ? Or should that be mass ? Good to hear from you all. What happened to Jan & Fiona, Steve E, Bob, Nico, Warren, Andy I ? Any idea ?
  14. Hi All, Still pop back from time to time and just wondered how many others are still around from the good old days when I had a Z ? Most names are new to me but good to see that Ian is still appearing on most threads. Appears to be also trying to pull a Nico with the 'car off the road' record. Did Craig go to Billing ? He was trying to get me to go and I was tempted. Maybe next year. Cheers Dave P.S. I've moved up market now and have two cars. In addition to my Pajero, I have an '86 Micra in matt blue. I'm probably going to get rid of the Pajero though and get an omega estate. So come and have a good if you think you're 'ard enough.
  15. Wow - that's a lot to know for someone who's been avoiding the TV for weeks !
  16. Those of you not declaring mods - if you have a 3rd party claim for injury, your insurance will be up for a 5 figure cost (or more). Loss adjusters are not stupid and will spot most mods. If they do, the insurance company will not pay and the rest of your life could be spent in debt. The bigger the claim, the more expert/expensive the loss adjuster which the insurance company sends (I work for an insurance company). More importantly, someone elses life might be made easier through your insurance company's payout. If they refuse to pay and you don't have the money to pay for what's needed to provide that person with what's needed then you will have wrecked their life. It won't be any consolation to them that you are skint for the rest of your life. This is real - it does happen. Driving without declaring mods is driving without insurance. You may get away with it, you may not. But don't try and think that it's OK. It's not. Sorry if I come across as a boring git but I feel quite strongly about this. I know insurance is a nightmare - I sold my Z because the insurance was going to be over £3k with the mods. But if you can't afford the insurance, don't do the mods. It's just not worth it. Dave
  17. I remember standing behind it with Craig, a couple of Billings ago. It was ticking over and Craig was standing in line with the exhaust. His jeans got covered in oil. He was not best pleased. He point it out to Kash who just looked at him blankly. Maybe he didn't understand Craig because he used properly constructed sentences. I never used to be this bitchy. Maybe I'm getting old !
  18. I'd like to pay in live haddock. Ajay, can you let me know where your net is ? Could you let me know by carrier pigeon at a secret address which I won't tell you ? Thanks
  19. If you put Optimax in the microwave, it increases it's octane rating to 99 and prevents detonation. Make sure you put it in a microwave proof container though. Otherwise it would be dangerous.
  20. I really miss the power of my Z but I never loved boost quite THAT much. Dave
  21. Clarkey, Does it come with a free pipe ? ;)
  22. She probably couldn't see while reversing - have you seen the size of that kebab sticking out of the boot ?
  23. Those were the days ... Highlights of our first meet in Nottingham : Bob had BoVs on an auto if I remember rightly. Bob had disco lights AND a smoke machine in his car Nico's car was actually running - shortly afterwards it went off the road for a decade. I was complimented on my neat phone holder. I was big into mods in those days. That was the day when I first discovered quite how scarey Z brakes could be when I completely lost all friction while chasing Rodders through Nottingham. The highlight of my day was being pulled because I left the pub sideways - after EVERYONE else had done exactly the same. The write up of that meet is probably somewhere. Anyone know ? Dave
  24. And again. And again. Oh, and by the way, he's pissed off with the last dealer he went to !
