  1. Having changed this solenoid for another as u can see the wires are severed! Well over the past year my steering has felt heavy. What a difference & also my auto changes appear smoother & my tick over more settled! Is this possible due to impulses to the ECU? Art

  13. I think they do a good job mixing paint with their colour codes.
  14. Welcome to the club. Have u found ur colour code? Where did u get ur Fairway from? If it's an import it's a fairlady & I hope she treats u well:):)
  15. Hi & welcome. I think I had a 10 year break. Think u can keep same name once the committee sees ur thread. Its £20 sign up as a subscribed member though. Pics of ur Z is a must too! Art
  16. Angle grinders & chain saws have to be the most respected power tools ever! Flesh & bones are no substitute for concrete, metal & wood! Good it wasn't more serious!
  17. I had a failed injector last year! Put a long screw driver on each injector with the engine running & u will hear the injector ticking away. If it does not tick the injector is faulty! Have u not done this yet? Art

  19. LOL! My Solinoid getting done soon! My steering is a little heavy but not seriously so. Mybe I pulled the wires off when I replaced the steering pump?
  20. A question! First thing I did on my Import was to convert KPH to MPH. Would/does this mess with the A/T regards gear changing at higher engine revs or less smooth changes? Ive always kept mine on the HOLD button because my A/T works really smooth in this mode. Just a thought, but might be a dum Q! Art
  21. I got 20 ltrs of this stuff! So enough for 5 oil changes. Also I went to KAP in Folkestone & asked for a new sump washer & didn't charge me!:thumbup1: Please don't tell me it's no good! Cos its in my engine now!!
  22. Thanks Andrew, Theres not alot of wire there for me to work on to reconnect! Might try soldering! Better check fuse too. Might have to source a replacement solinoid
  23. Whilst doing an oil change I came across this! Can someone tell me what the wires are & what they are supposed to be attached too. Thanks
