I had mine laying down like yours and was told that it was illegal.

See you already got one, Took mine for a test drive tonight and it's much better, vibration has gone but still noisier than the other mounting, (which I was warned about) hoping that over time it will die down a bit, I'll see how it goes might get a standard one if it bugs me too much. This one only cost me £45.00 inc p&p from a nissan dealer in the USA. Paul

Ok, been out looking at the car to day trying to find what was the cause of the extra noise, looked at the exhaust pipe's to see if anything was touching, all was fine. Looked around the engine bay and spotted that one of the domed nuts that hold the balance bar on was touching the strut brace that I had fitted in the summer, so I gave it some extra clearance and all is fine, have not taken it for a test drive yet but it sounds better just on tick over, the extra height of the new mount was enough to make the nut touch the brace,will take it out tomorrow to confirm this was the problem. Thanks to MIKeH and Legrath for their help with this problem. Paul

Ok, fitted the new nismo gearbox mount today, left the exhaust in place, that was fine to take the old one out, but a bit fiddly to put the new one back, the old mount was totaly shagged, the new one being higher made it a bit tight, but with a bit of levering and tapping it went in, another pair of hands will make it easier. Started the car and noticed alot of noise being transmitted to the inside of the car, (I think Legrath said this could happen)took it for a test drive very noisey at around 1800-2000 rpm but dies down after that, hoping that it will settle down after a few hundred miles,the vibration that I had seems to have gone at the moment but maybe the noise is masking it. Hi Darell, I've been looking at the feedback that these have been getting on ebay and it's all very positive, I even contacted three of the guys that have bought them and all were very impressed with them, all said that thet were of good quality,one was replacing the one's he already had on his car.
