  1. I think all the time owners of these cars put body kits and other bolt on goodies on them it will never be treated with the Super car status that it deserves, people who buy other Super cars don't graft body kits on them so joe public cannot see what the car is, until this stops happening it will be seen as a cheap car to customise. The only thing that people who like the Z as it is, (ie no body kits) can do is to maintain them to the highest standard possible and hope that one day they will get the status they deserve. This not a pop at the people with body kits, it's your car to do as you wish. Just answering the thread as I see it. Paul

  13. Hi, can anyone tell me if this is a UK or Jap ecu, it was taken from a Jap z which was fitted with UK clocks.I have fitted the clocks into my Jap z and the speedo is only reading 40mph when the car is doing 60mph at 2200 rpm, speed taken from tomtom, there was no box fitted to the back of the of either speedo but mine was calibrated in mph and fitted with a 180mph face, how many ways are there of calibrating the clocks to run in mph, would it be safe to put the ecu in my car, both are TT Auto. cheers Paul opps forgot the picture. It has 23710 46P65 A18-000 MD9 3325 on the label.

  18. It's not that difficult, 4 out of 10 it's only a question of putting it back in the correct order,Targas trims are the hardest part, but there's a step by step guide on the 'robo's' website, the targa T-Top center bar was easier than I thought, you need to remove the targa tops, the rubber roof trims around the taga opening, the four end caps where the targa locking pins go,interior mirror, sun visors, both interior lights (just let them dangle),small screw behind front interior light and then pry the roof lining away from the top of the windscreen rubber (you don't need to pull it down that far)and you have access to the 10mm nuts that hold it on.There was a small rust spot under one end of center bar that I treated with some rust killer and oxide paint apart from that all went well. Paul
  19. Fitted new T-Top center Bar and the six other pieces of trim that go on the roof, the one's that go down the windscreen, targa's and the short bit by the boot hinge, these bits have been bugging me since I bought the car last April as the garage I got it from had partly stripped the plastic coating off and other bits had worn through and the rubber bits on the targa center bar were total shot.Looking good now.:nana2: :hyper: Paul
  20. Sorry, can't make it after all. Paul

  22. Thanks for your replies Legrath and Markzx
  23. Hi Joel, sorry but I never saw your reply until today when reading back through the thread. Even after 16 yrs of racing I'm not big headed enough to think I know it all and am always prepared to ask for and listen to other people's advice, It was not a case of not knowing where to drill, but of saving some time, if someone has already got the hole pattern for the disc then it would be quicker for me to make a template from that, and as for over stressing these parts it's highly unlikely to happen to these very over engineered parts, unless you use them for track days or your a traffic light Grand Prix racer, and I don't do either of these. No offence taken btw regards Paul
  24. Hi, any one know what the difference is between the TT & NA OEM shocks, would fitting TT shocks to an NA be a worth while mod, are the TT & NA spring rates the same, would NA shocks and TT springs work ok? cheers Paul
