Hi Andy, thanks for your concern, but I have 16yrs racing experience Racing Trucks with drilled and grooved brake disc's and am well aware of what is required, they weigh over 5 tonnes and have a limited speed of 100 mph that takes some stopping. cheers Paul

Hi Rubble, 12mm ceramic cups should be fine, make sure that the metal your welding is free from rust and scale,are you using the correct gas,are you using the wright amps,are you holding the tig torch at the wright distance from the work piece,have you got the connections to the machine in the wright place, if your working near an open window or door you could losing the gas from the draught. Just a few things that could give you your problems. Good Luck Paul
