  1. I've just removed my front wings and bumper to replace with viper wings and a strosek front bumper. Just about every bolt sheared or rounded due to rust so i had to cut them of with an angle grinder (very messy) what i want to know is what do i need to salvage from the old bumper (if anything) to use when fitting the new Strosek bumper. Please remember that a lot of bits were so badly rotted they are unrecognisable so any new bits that you think i might need let me know.

  3. Voted! All the best.
  4. Mine is totally different, i've had it a while though but that looks to be quite a good buy for £60. Do you know how much this one weighs vijay as i might get the wife to get one for me (if she can lift it lol)
  5. I could just about get it under when the engine and gearbox was out lol. :D
  6. I have the 3 tonne jack from Costco it is very heavy and it doesn't fit under my Z and i don't think mine has been lowered. :headvswal
  7. i know and i've missed half of MAD MAX II
  8. This shows the position of the bolts but the bolts are rear facing in respect of car.
  9. TC is attached to here with four 14mm bolts.
  10. heres a pic of tc
  11. just checked and wrong about the pics!! :headvswal its the link thats no longer working that had the better pics lol. :slap:
  12. You will have to rotate the torque convertor and undo them one by one (the torque convertor looks like a big metal dome but you will probably only have an inch or 2 gap between the engine and box), like Greg says its fiddely but once you have the four bolts removed it should come apart. Look at the second link i posted for pics.
  13. If all the bolts are out of the bell housing when you seperate the engine from the box inside you will see the torque convertor, there are 4 14mm bolts that have to be undone this will allow you to get the clearance you need to remove the engine.
  14. Its taken over my life lol. After getting the engine and box in i removed the plenum PAS pot and balance bar for polish and chrome, then i bought viper front wings then strosek front and rear bumpers then found out the rear is for a wide arch so thats the next purchase. And i've been making a SS one piece slam panel and i've been done for no tax, insurance or MOT all this and i haven't sat my ass in it yet. lol Anyway back on topic. :headvswal
  15. If he can''t see the torque convertor it would seem that not all the bolts have been removed from the gearbox as when he was trying to lift it then the engine and box should have slpit?
  16. I was changing the box anyway (with your old autobox) so had to remove it. Still have not driven the car yet lol.
  17. http://www.ttzd.com/tech/enginetech.html this one works
  18. the above link doesn't seem to work anymore! Will try and find you another.
  19. http://www.symatix.co.uk/300zx/EngineRemoval/EngineRemoval.htm try this also have you got all the bolts out from the bell housing to engine?
  20. Remove the prop shaft and undo the gearbox support bracket then either jack or support the gearbox or just drop it down. Makes it easier to remove the engine, at least thats what i did.
  21. its very similar to the curry i make, a cook showed me when i was in the merchant navy, he said you cannot go wrong with a curry just add whatever you like. So i have and my family enjoy them or at least thats what they tell me lol.
  22. I don't like mushrooms or raisens but i still add them to my curry's as its totally different. Also add coconut milk and pineapple instead of apple. Makes a nice sweet curry.
  23. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torque Its easy??? lol.
  24. Call Mike at MJP for the gasket, i ordered mine on a Thursday afternoon and it arrived on the Friday morning. I've emailed Dan at DTA for prices of silicone tubing so will let you know.
