I know there are a few carputer boffins on here so was wondering if its possible to connect a carputer up to this touch screen DVD unit? http://www.eonon.com/index.php?controller=Default&action=ProductDetails&pid=17 I don't see any VGA connections so i don't think you can but just want to be sure. Does anyone know where i can buy a single Ohlins front shocker for my car? I have been searching google for weeks but cannot find anyone in the uk selling them for the 300zx, i even emailed Ohlins but never had a reply. I'll try the wanted section if theres no joy.

I know what you mean mate but its just a personal choice for me to have everything correct but i'll probably never find out its true milage as it was imported in 2006 and only taxed once so its not going to have much documented UK history. I'll try the DVLA and see if maybe the milage has been recorded for its one and only uk MOT. I'll search for the instructions as well, cheers bud.

Is there any quick fix for repairing the odometer? The one from my jap Zed is knackered, all the dials just spin, you can see this from the pics from a previous thread- http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=107861&highlight=odometer the guy i bought the car from didn't have any paperwork for the car but said it had done just over 70,000. I don't know if this is 70,000 miles or kilometers. I've just left the odometer from the uk clocks i bought but they are reading about 99,000 from memory. Is there a way i can find out the last known milage reading and have my odometer reset to truely represent the cars milage as i'm hoping to have the car on the road shortly as its been of the road for over 2 years according to the tax disc lol.

Oil seals for the tubs tend to leak inward hence the smoke from the exhaust, if the squeeling is coming from the turbo then it sounds like friction and it needs to be replaced. I wouldn't book it in for a diagnostic just to be told something you already suspect, take it to a reputable garage and ask what they think it is and get a quote as it doesn't cost for an opinion.

Take a flat bladed screwdriver and place it on the top of each injector, put your ear on the handle of the screwdriver and listen for the clicking sound to indicate the injector (engine running) is working, if no sound it could be a faulty injector (block your other ear to eliminate sound). I have about 12 coilpacks so if you can make it over to my house we could swap them about and try to eliminate this also. I also have 3 Series 1 PTU's so we could try them also to see if thats the prob. Try and find some one with a Datascan or Consult they could hook up to you car for a diagnostic.

As a friend you have to be there for your friend but you need to be tough with him and not let him feel sorry for himself, he needs to know that you'll be there for him but he has to sort himself out and take control of the situation and stop being a victim. Tell him to press charges on his son, do everything to make his life difficult, don't tip toe around the situation but tell all friends and family about what he's done but he needs to have a man to man talk and tell him he's not a kid anymore, let him know he's got to accept the consequences and let him know that if he does this he'll be there for him. You sound like a good friend Chris but your mate needs a good slap and let him know you'll help be there for him and his wife.

If your son/daughter is taking thousands at a time then its your responsibility as a parent to know! If my kids take a bar of chocolate without asking i know about it, its called tough love and its what parenting is all about. My kids fear me and i hate it but they respect me and love me and show it day after day. You cannot watch your kids every minute of every day but you let them know when your not someone else is and you'll find out. My dad was tough on me when i was young and i hated him for it but he's honestly my best friend now and i'm glad he was tough. The saying "wait till your father gets home" has no meaning now as parents are too soft. I really feel for your mate but parents have to vigilant from early on and do whats best and not what society says is best. All my opinion but its how i was brought up.

Looks like a bit of a stained patch on the passengers trousers at the rear when he gets up to leave, i wonder if he had a little accident lol.

I have a 50" Samsung plasma which is excellent and a 32" LCD Samsung which is excellent, but i thought that when the pixels go on the LCD then its fooked (you cannot revive dead pixels ???)but with a plasma you can have it re-gassed, i'm probably wrong but hopefully someone can clarify.

I have a TOMTOM cd for mobile phones with the install instruction, it worked on my Nokia, if its any good to you then you can have it John. It also updates the maps and speed camera's.

Does this work in all languages or just English?
