I suppose it makes sense if you are spending that much on the turbo's, injectors to upgrade the pistons are the same time. However I personally will be leaving the stock pistons in to test the theroy. ( purely for knowledge of the forum purposes of course ;) ) A little later I will be upgrading the intercoolers, turbo's, injectors, rad, induction and down pipes. I know my pistons are all good now as they have recently been checked, so I'll do the above and see if the theory of 600BHP on stock pistons is true. Although Eric said 575 - 600 RWHP maybe that's pushing it a bit too far but hey, If my engine doesn’t go bang with 600BHP after a year I'll try for 600RWHP on stock pistons :dance:

Auto or manual ? Could be a number of things but if it's only when it's cold then it's likely to be temp sensor related. Run an ECU diag to see if it comes up with anything obvious. If not, then clean the connectors on the temp sensor, CAS, tps, coil packs and may also be worth giving the Trottle bodies a clean. Then reset your ECU and let us know if it is still happening.

Turbo timers ...... better than turning the engine off staright away as soon as you park up. Not as good as running the car without going into boost for the last few minutes of your journey.

Sorry to hear that Danny, What a pain in the butt. We had some kids key 10 cars I a row down our road a few weeks ago. They for some reason left both the 300's but keyed the BMW big time :(. Just a thought but if you don’t have much luck getting the lock sorted you could always put a 2nd hand lock in the passenger side and move the good lock from the passenger side to the drivers door (that's if it was the drivers door that got damaged), the locks are the same either side you just need to remove them from the housing. It may be worth getting a quote from a local paint shop on how much the whole lot would cost to put right (including previous damage) then if it's a fair bit, claim for it.

Should be : 12V with inline fuse illumination i.e. another 12V Earth If this makes no sense let me know and I'll rig up a switch to a light bulb and a 12V battery and take a few pics

I haven't got a clue mate, she'd only had the car for about 3 weeks, I came home nad the first thing I did was take this picture. I guess she just decided to start unscrewing bolts etc, but hey, she did the job, how many other women do you know that take their dash apart and wire up a KM to MPH convertor ? :bow:
