I wonder to maybe reduce the mystery, rather than just deleting the threads (or soft deleting) maybe move them to a quarantine area, lock them, so people can read them if they want to. If they feel they might get offended they simply dont click the button. Then there is no hear say or chinese whispers. But what was said is still available for people to read for their own interest so they can make their own opinions. Using Si as an example, maybe he did do wrong maybe he didnt, peoples opinions are bound to differ but if the threads that caused the trouble were put somewhere where people (subbed members maybe!) can read them it would clear up he said she said they said as its all written down.

haha welcome bud. When this happened to me all those years ago (funnily enough I was just talking to a mate about it today as it was my first car and Id been driving about 3 weeks!) I rang my dad and he said the exact same to me....:oops:

My S4 car which had manual seats from factory has had twin electric seats in it (currently got a single electric drivers seat) but the point of the reply is that it seems that although not fitted from factory the wiring loom was just under the carpet and simply plug in and go. :)

Has the steering lock come on? Try rocking the steering and trying to turn the key might do it! I had a honda civic do this once and it was just the steering lock.

Shall I take the easy option and buy those 99 spec lights that Daves_zed has for sale? They are cleaned. A nice upgrade with the 99 spec inserts as well?

My HID's are not so great, they havnt been very bright since I bought the car, I did look today and they are only a 35w kit. What does everyone else use? Should I be using a 55w kit? Also do I need H1 or H4 (or different!) for a JDM car? Cheers

Does you car havE standard or aftermarket intercoolers? Mine required a bit of modification because of its big ass front mount. Other than that it went on oka although it was already fitted when I got th car it only came of during the respray.

Did you recieve this car back from the garage running on 5? I thought it had been to be looked at by a specialist?

Yeah really not going to happen sorry! By the time i get home tomorrow I'll have covered 1350 miles and had a long week so really dont have the energy! Next year :)

How do you know its been taken out mate? Whats actually happened? Has it failed or passed? If so whats it failed on?

Thats the total opposite of what you just said above. ;) lol Yeah I know they arnt that slow, but it isnt much progression to be not quite as fast as the old model! Luckily for nissan very few people realise(d ) that the 300zx and 350z are the same range. They are nice cars and I would like one just still holding their value a bit much for me. I do see is as a more sensible option - I would really miss boost though (again, problem with all NA cars!) It would be mega money to get any real power from them where as is the point of this thread, for a mere few hundred quid you can get a big improvement over stock!

Search on youtube, it will show you all you need to know about the slow ass 350z ;)

Or if possible look at buying a doner car that is in running condition then you can test the box and see how good or bad it is. Or buy a gearbox like I did from a guys garage just of the M1 that had a huge great story behind it LOL ;)

I have had somthing similar on both my zeds. I never did get to the bottom of it as it is intermitant. I did suspect o2 sensors. Mine does this on part throttle from time to time, putting your foot down solves the problem and all is well. But mine does the thing where its showing positive boost but just doesnt pull. Most strange! Althogh if yours is running rough/vibrating maybe its the ptu?

Or maybe even the thursday if the wednesday is no good to people. I'll still be roughly around the area!
