I suspect its because of the increased memory on your graphics card, means windows isnt swapping between Graphics and system ram as much, which in turn isnt swapping data from the system memory into the page file on the hard disk - so your hard disk performance improves :)

NA vs TT auto boxes
Not that I have an autobox but just out of pure interest, according to wikipedia the NA and TT zeds have different autoboxes, is this true? 4-Speed RE4R01A Automatic Transmission for the NA 4-Speed RE4R03A Automatic Transmission for the TT I always thought they had the same autobox! (If it is the case, TT's fitted with a replacement NA autobox probably arnt going to last long!?)

Weird "hesitation" on part throttle
Thats interesting, they were my suspects although last time on conzult it showed 55, and its always had the issue. What would happen if i simply unplugged them to test?

Weird "hesitation" on part throttle
Ah okay, will give that a go... Just one minor problem, which vacuum pipe is the egr? Is there a diagram? I just looked at engine bay by numbers thread but couldnt see it on there.

Weird "hesitation" on part throttle
Good lol glad im not alone. Its such an odd sensation isnt it? Yet when giving it a boot full all is well!

fiat coupe 20v NA
When you say it doesnt start, have you got some more info. Does it turn over? Flat battery or dead starter motor or imboliser problem Is there fuel getting through? If not could be a fuel pump or again imobliser problem Is there a spark? low battery tired spark plugs or fault coil (s) not sure if they are individual

Weird "hesitation" on part throttle
I dont think so, as there is no issue at all when driving under full throttle when the injectors would be working the hardest. It is strange in the fact that as you put your foot down not much if anythnig happens although the vacuum on the boost gauge changes so the throttle is opening obviously. It then seems to "realise" that its open and of it goes. Quite strange, my old grey one did exactly the same from time to time (although the silver one does do it more than the grey one did) I did read somewhere that if the o2 sensors were unplugged it had no huge affect on the car so could I try this? Or will it cause more problems? One thing I did forget to mention before was that one time when it was doing this. I pulled into a car park and held the car at a fast idle, I did video it but it was dark and didnt come out well and the revs in this case would fluctuate between 2600rpm and 3000rpm (I was trying to hold it at 3000) on its own with no change in "input" from me, obviously some sort of weird sensor issue.

Weird "hesitation" on part throttle
I have had this issue for a while, its had it since I bought the car. Its intermitant and there is only one circumstance where I can almost be sure its going to do it. The problem: When driving along at light throttle the car feels like its holding back, and almost sounds like its missing. If you increase throttle a little bit the car doesnt respond as you would expect until you put a little more throttle on and then it accelerate away cleanly and as normal. Its annoying in traffic as it just feels sluggish and it can begin to jump/vibrate as if it had a miss. The "fix" If I accelerate, or just put my foot down for a couple of seconds its gone and then its fine again for a while but then sometimes it returns. The cause: If I drive the car quietly off boost from start up and dont actually work it hard it generally DOESNT do this issue. However, if I have a couple of fast gear changes full boost etc then it almost certainly WILL do this weird thing once its all calmed down again. I have a feeling that its o2 sensors telling the ecu the wrong signals so its trying to do all sorts of stuff with the mixture and that hence why higher throttle settings (when as I understand it the car ignores the o2 sensors) does it clear. It doesnt really affect the car just feels weird.

600zx - Finally back to work....
Previous owner, did you buy this is a part project then? Or some parts from them? I would love to be good with spanners to say I had built something would be fantastic. I train people how to use software at the minute so although relativly skilled I dont really do anything that I end up with something to show for it. Other than ever increasing numbers on the vans odometer!

Private number plates - love em or hate em?
I quite fancy one, I did want N300 SWB for mine which is available for quite cheap, but other than for vanity it didnt make the car look any different lol. I also found C13 VEY as close as I could get to cavey or my nickname, but it was about a grand and im meant to be saving. My dad has MRC 563 his initials and it rhymes (lol) but its an old plate so quite interesting. My mum has L300 CAV as she is Lorraine Cave, the 300 just being a number. I did point out that it would be better on my zed but she was less than impressed.

I've been run over
It is an amazing story, I cant believe the police dont want to persue it! I agree she should have her license taken of her and also with the re- tests every few years, even if its a reactions test/hazard awareness rather than an actual driving test as such. As sight might deteriorate it doesnt mean that they cant actually drive anymore, its just they cant see where they are going! Although, I was in stoke the other day an old couple got into an ancient micra and attempted to reverse out of a space and drive away. Poor thing must have been running at around 5k as she was manouvering. A que of cars either way waiting for her, I felt sorry for the car in this case more than anything! I do think we should have tougher driving laws, in this country I know people say its hard to get a driving license. It really isnt, a few lessons and you can take a test that really isnt that bad. If the test was tougher, and required more skill then the overall quality of driving would improve. Also, if it was harder to get young scroates that just drive like maniacs would have had to work hard for the license so hopefully should respect it more. We do absolutly need a mandatory test for the motorway as well. So few people understand how to drive on them properly, they dont read signs or use the correct lanes. I drive alot for my job and the amount of things I see each day does make me think "dear god no wonder there are so many crashes and insurance is so high!"

bar the zed's
Nah, didnt sell on there in the end :) Although I did only pay 4250 for it so not so bad really! It needed a bit of work though, I overhauled the brakes and fitted new shocks all round etc to improve things.
