  1. E36 323i 300zx Honda Civic 1.5. all lowered and generally a bit chavvy lol Renault 2.0 Laguna Vivaro Van!
  2. the skyline always was only a sedan though. Absorbed from the prince range in the 60's, along with the gloria i think, it just became quicker and quicker through nissan wanting to go racing! It was japans "S class" in the 60's!
  3. thats awesome, where the hell did he find that?? If he ever sells it let me know... I spent ages looking for a GMC G series van to convert!
  4. yeah... forgot about fluid lol. TBH, probably wouldnt hurt mine... Might do that his coming weekend!
  5. I'm glad you liked that one! :)
  6. Should have asked you the shouldnt I lol... Just out of interest what would you charge for doing a manual conversion on a car (parts all supplied) And also what would you charge for fitting this ESS paddle shift thing?
  7. Are you saying its just got bad? After you were thrashing it? Or its the first time you've every had to brake firmly from high speed? Standard disks and pads are not so great on the 300zx, its a big heavy car with miserable little disks on the front.. The quick fix is a set of good pads, i have mintex 11/44's on mine and they are good, But i also have 324mm grooved disks on the front, courtesy of Smithy's Alternativly the best £/stoppage is going to be a set of Skyline R33 GTR or R34 GTR calipers + disks (which are the same 324mm) The R33 will bolt straight on, the R34 requires a small amount of modification... i.e some 12mm holes being drilled out to 14mm IIRC I went for smithys kit due to the cost of the R33 calipers, and also that with those larger disks ive got the opportunity to upgrade to the better calipers at a later date. The "big brake kit" comes with some mounting brackets to move your existing standard calipers away from the disks to allow the 324mm disks under there. Bear in mind, you'll need i thik at least 17" alloys to get these disks under there... so if your still using standard rims then this is not an option :) HTH
  8. what riding it hard... LOL sorry Hmm, well its only for a few days in all truth its only going to save me about £4 in juice! The laguna will most certainly not be running on super! So out of my two cars one will have a 3.0 DOHC twin turbo charged and twin intercooled V6 with variable valvetiming and Distributor less ignition. And the other will be a 2.0 8v with less power than a late afternoon murray mint induced fart hehe
  9. i gave it some serious consideration, its quite expensive though and you still suffer from the lack of power of the line... Also i couldnt find much information about it, so i didnt really want to trial this stuff in the UK so i decided not to... It would appear to put massive strain in the autobox as well, aftermarket oil coolers even more of a must!
  10. ahh i see thanks legrath... Was suprised at it being 102 RON, didnt think the BP stuff was as good as that! Cheers for that, interesting that yours has always been on regular saz, cant believe yuo never drive it hard ;)
  11. just to add to this, V power being 99 RON, BP Ultimate is 102... I've been educated into using V Power, but surly Ultimate is going to be better??

o2 sensors.... Mine does this at random, but only when cruising as in when holding a constant speed. Under swift acceleration it isnt affected, since it ignores the 02 sensor readings (apparantly) My right hand one is intermitantly inactive, can do it anytime cold, hot engine, wet or dry etc etc...
  13. okay guys, yeah its going to get chipped asap... but i cant take it of the road until my run about arrives... on friday! lol Thats fine, just checking :) V power it is. I have a cheap (ish) source of V power, 100.9 isnt bad in this day and age!! Cheers fellas
  14. Just out of interest, would my 300zx protest massivly if i ran it on regular unleaded? I have a 92 JDM TT auto... and unfortunatly i have to use her for my commute to work next week until my run about is ready. Its basically 40 miles on the motorway and a mile of normal roads at each end. Will it be okay on regular, or is it better safe than sorry and use V power. The car has no mods as such (filter, exhaust etc etc)
  15. Mine will be available at some point, if either of you are after auto boxes that is... Whole lot is coming of, since im converting to a manual. My box has done about 15k since it was fitted by the previous owner... I have a receipt for it. Im sure the car had done 48k when the box went in and its on 62k ish now. Pulls well in all gears, selects O/D with no issue and is very quick to kick down... BUT it depends on my own funding and time as to when it comes out of my car so if your interested you may have to bear with me! Chris
  16. i think they all randomly chime from time to time, since im now convinced each Zed has a personality must be a way of making conversation!
  17. last garage mine went to i got 2 of the guys there to gently lift the nose so it cleared the end of their 4 poster ramp... Went on a treat then :D
  18. regular is 93.9 where i am... v power 100.9 So its not that old, but we all know to look at the expensive stuff lol
  19. heart braking but at least you got some reasonable cash for it... Should be seeing a few 97's coming in now.... if your lucky i've seen one or two advertised with the genuine 99 spec front lights! such a real shame about it.
  20. does datascan give you an error? I had to change the port settings it was using on both datascan and conzult so they were the same. I've lent my laptop to a friend so i cant check what settings i have. I dont have any issues connecting either peice of software to the cars ECU, always works first time everytime.
  21. lol ahh right! well thats fair enough then! Not much to go wrong on an NA ;)
  22. that is quite impressive.... and yet i wonder how many owners have gone in at night and come out the next morning and they wont start! Hell mine has done it at a service station, 20 minutes after i switched it of came back to it and absolutly nothing... Plugged it into the laptop and it burst into life.... :s Are you sure your have a 300zx?! lol
  23. He's done loads today... lol first saw them all this morning when i got up, thought i had De ja Vu the first few times but then.... haaannnggggg on a minute!
  24. Putting my car on the rollers next month and i was just wondering is there anything special that needs to be done with it since its an auto. Does anyone know of any particular settings for the gearbox or does it not particuly matter. Its a jap spec TT if that helps!
  25. how do you find that tein stuff? A friend of mine has it on his scoob and swears by it... How does it fair on the zed?
