  1. Does the hold light come on? I wonder if the switch is damaged? On another note if it is using hold mode, then it cant be using 1st, in hold the autobox moves off in second. If its using 1st and 2nd then it aint in hold.
  2. already said that ;) hehe
  3. I was waiting for someone to put that!
  4. i have some maxis things on mine, seem okay actually. Although the fronts are about ruined now... Dam more expenditure!
  5. most odd, ive never seen that "check oil" light, does anyone know what oil its actually referring too? Or do you mean the oil can symbol? Just had a look through a UK/Euro handbook and the only warning lights to feature the word "oil" are "mission oil" (which is for manual transmission oil @ high temperature) and "diff oil" which is for the diff temperature and level i think.
  6. Im bit of a TVR nut... there isnt alot i wouldnt do for a Cerbera 4.5 in red rose spec... dribble.... I actually did an insurance quote on a speed 6 cerbera the other day (just the baby 4.0 straight 6) and it was palletable. Just need to find the 10k for the car now!
  7. for its performance alone its got to be in the region of 150-200k, (I think it was about 200k when it was new) however with the rarity factor i'd say at least 250k for it. End of the day, its well known that its the only road going version - the story goes the then boss of tvr took the finished prototype home and decided it was far too dangerous for the road and had them all dismantled, save for a few which were kept to keep the racing team running. This one i believe was a rebuilt one a few years later, sold to an enthusiast which had to be personally vetted by peter wheeler! I believe this one isnt actually the road going shell, it was rebuild from an older race speed 12!
  8. My TT LWB Auto was 6.3 to 60, according to datascan. Which was reasonable i thought.
  9. possibly changed supplier but the spec was the same?? I agree Dan i coudlnt see a difference in the numbers either!
  10. Jesus mate.... is there somthing you want to tell us?! Is that why morecambe's been so quiet of late! hehe Best thing to do is to stay calme and collected about it all, record everything you can and then present the dossier to the police with an explanation, id have thought they had to do somthing then - when youve done all the work for them!
  11. On the approach into doncaster this morning i saw a yellow NA (im fairly sure it was, looked like it had had the bottom lip painted black actually) on the A630. First Zed ive seen out and about for ages and ages!

lol, god knows how mine made it through last time, at the time had no horn, or head lights (lack of bulbs actualy... LOL) Massive play in some bushes (which have been replaced) and the hand brake is still pretty ineffective! Ah well, i think most MOT places realise that these old crocks never get driven that much!
  13. cheers guys... finally won one! :D
  14. lol as if the diesel has died, cant believe that one failed before the zeds... you must drive the work bus too hard :D
  15. With my friend who insists that the word chasm is pronounced Ch-asm Where as i say its pronounced cas-um Obviously im right, but can some one tell me to prove it to her... Cheers
  16. i have a question - those z1 pistons are slighty oversize, does that mean that the engine has to be re-bored in order to take them? Or whats the score there? Im quite fancying the idea of starting an engine build for my car, and giving it ago my self. Dont know much about it but hey, learn by doing! An idea ive had for tonight, not sure how much substance there is in it but i thought id ask.
  17. Ah a few times now ive rung up our local "nissan" dealer and asked for parts for a 300zx and im faced with "whats one of those"..., pretty disgraceful really. Not like im asking for parts for a cube or somthing like that. The fact as well that i did find a dealer that knew what it was and then continued to insult me by saying "is that a big 200sx?". "No it is not" i replied, "its the forunner to that enourmous thing you have in the showroom called the 350z"
  18. and i bet niether of them realised the significance of the old nissan next to them... Shame. Id be suprised if they even knew what it was!
  19. compression doesnt sound so bad there, i believe 150+ is a very good figure - only a problem below 130?? Good luck! If you fancy doing mine as well let me know! :D
  20. Ah blimey, a keen owner then!
  21. Paint tin and a grenade?? Mr Bean Style!!
  22. ah fair one, bit further north than me! Have you had your zed long?
  23. Yeah that normal :) Where abouts in scumbria are you mate??
  24. I believe its the speed sensor for the gearbox its self, that tells the gearbox ecu how quick the gearbox is turning over. Although im not sure!
