  1. I cant see why not! THere were some changes to later auto boxes i think which cured some earlier issues, but im not sure when it was... Anyway newer gearbox has to be better than an old one surely!
  2. best i can get out of mine was 27mpg on the way to bristol this year. But i wasnt really trying if im honest lol, was sat around 80 ish most of the way there 2 up with a weekends worth of bagging and some brake disks in the boot LOL
  3. my M3 has it all as standard... ;) haha... Also so does my Kangoo Van... TBH its not normally that accurate anyway, nothing wrong with a bit of maths and resetting the trip!
  4. AFM perhaps? Can be attributed to poor running and poor performance?
  5. would work on newer OBD-2 cars would it not? (Im thinking of course that the later 300zx's with the 16bit ecu's were OBD2?)
  6. Ah cool cheers guys, just the wording didnt really make sence to me, couldnt decide either way! Cheers
  7. Can anyone tell me if the original severn crossing is tolled? I know the M4 second severn crossing is only tolled going from England to Wales and not the other way. (Robbing gits that they are and it doesnt accept bloody cards!) But what about the M48 (what formed the original M4) do you have to pay either way on that or neither or just one? Thanks!
  8. My boss has one and loves it, it seems to put up with his constant abuse (revving it to 6k plus when cold makes me cringe!) I think hes done about 30k in his from new now and no problems - just a bit impracticle size wise thats all.
  9. If it was an Evo 9 360 say, with a decat and remap, would be around 400bhp+ and 300kg's lighter than a 300zx so its probably your answer, but could be anything. BMW M5/M6 or new M3 perhaps.
  10. First one was being washed near by Sheffield Football ground (Y) Second one was parked (saw it a few times) near cathedral road/mill lane area in cardiff looking good with the SMZ wheels on it and nice exhausts (Y)
  11. Nice looking thing - just a pitty it isnt a more desirable colour, if it was red or blue or silver i think it would have attracted alot more interest. But maybe not, im just not a fan of white cars:wack: No 300zx's had tilt steering wheels as far as i know... it was somthing that was considered not necasary when it was being designed as it was such a good driving position anyway. ( I disagree and think it should have had a tilt steering wheel but there we go) As for the airbag, it doesnt have an airbag steering wheel so it wont have an airbag regardless of the options he has ticked. Its easy to tick some of them when listing on ebay and not really think about it...
  12. weheyy good news man! Just dont let the weather catch you out! :)
  13. This sounds like another attempt at a moon landing!
  14. thing is though, with a law like that, how can they enforce it? For that sort of thing it would need so much effort... so are the police going to stop ever car that is over 18 years old. What about newer models of the same shape on a private plate? Cant check that at a glance. Its somthing that oculd never be What i expect will happen is in time you'll have to justify the reason for having an old car. (I only use it at weekends and do 1000 miles a year etc) Or that its a worthwhile classic etc. I agree that ancient volvos (for example) which dont have Tax or MOT etc and are just driven around because it just about still works should be removed and scrapped, but most classic cars are in better condition than when they left the factory so there is no way this could ever be enforced or excepted.
  15. Yup... im an idiot... taken from wiki... The engine also uses a parallel twin turbo system. The turbo system is arranged so that the front turbo is powered by the front 3 cylinders, and the rear turbo is powered by the rear 3 cylinders. The turbo chargers are of equal size, and are set by the wastegates to limit boost pressure to 14.7 psi, although the Skyline GT-R has a built in boost restrictor to keep boost under 10 psi. Sorry i'll sit in the corner and be quiet LOL
  16. Actually, i was just having a think, i might be tihnking of a supra? That might be sequential turbo and the 'liner might be two equal size turbos. Im going to hvave to research it! Either way, im sure you need a left and a right turbo for a VG motor, where as youd have two of the same (f they were the same) on an RB motor
  17. wellt he GTR turbos are both different sizes, twin turbo but they are sequential, little one and a big one - so not much use for a 300zx :) Also remember that the 'liner is an RB engined car, so a straight 6 not a v6, so even if you could get a pair of matching large turbos they would be neigh on impossible to fit :)
  18. haha! Very good!
  19. 0-60 in 4.4?! Somhow i dont think so... Looks nice but its a clean uk zed with a few nice bits, hardly extensivly modified... also 99 spec tail skin? I thought a true 99 spec tail was with a proper piece of perspex, not that "home grown" look... also 400bhp?! Im not so sure! Its a nice advert but a good advert can make anything look amazing!
  20. blimey, for the scrapper then??! Soon have that fettled!
  21. HAHA Aye! Just the same, infact id almost say that was my second attempt at the mission!
  22. "10 ways to break into a 300zx and steal its petrol..."! Glad your getting it sorted mate.
