  1. Glad you are all ok mate. We always think these kinda things happen to other people and not us! Take it easy fella and enjoy your day off!
  2. The Mrs will love it and not think it was a waste of money in the slightest! .........post up a pic of the bruises later.
  3. Well.............the word is out. The Japanese feel betrayed.
  4. Ok, my ebay rad came today, in a KOYO box aswell - just to tease me. That looks fine but I was still thinking about Andy's very kind donation of his old rad. I popped over to the rad place who re-cored my own rad a couple of years ago to see if they would swap the end tanks over as it did look like a bit of a job. We got talking and they would prob have charged about £25.......but they would fabricate a new METAL end tank for £50. So, in my mind there is no choice, I went for the new metal one and am picking it back up this afternoon. There is a guy there who is really into his motors and it was only a few weeks ago he made a giant ali rad for someone. My ears prick up and I ask him how much for one for the Z....... I should know tonight and will post again. So I guess my ebay rad is for sale! £80 to your door.
  5. Let your cat out of what?
  6. SE Nissan now ban all mechanics from smoking in the workshop. ............No, I would not wish that on SE. A little fire maybe that burnt Pete's new shoes or something but not a full scale meltdown! That pic has been around a while but always sad to see! :(
  7. My actual rad was re-cored last year. The top pipe of my end tank has snapped so its very hard to get a proper seal with the hose. This is what is causing my leak. Now I'm not a radiator expert but I'm guessing I could swap an end tank over? From one rad to the other? Not ideal maybe as Mac said but would do until father xmas brings me a Koyo or Howie! If your r/h/s is ok then that would be fantastic Andy. I would owe you several large beers! :duffer:
  8. Cheers, that widens the scope of getting one then....... Just checking credit card health though for that Koyo.
  9. You can't get too low. Looks good mate.
  10. Yeah, I was thinking that Mark. Errol, how much are you looking at for yours then?
  11. You sure? I've been ringing around this morning for a replacement and have been asked each time if its manual or auto, so there must be some difference?
  12. Thanks bud. I think manual and auto's are different though? Mine is an auto :(
  13. Yeah, I will ask Dave. Chris, don't suppose you have a link? I had a look but couldn't find it.
  14. Cheers for that Iain. Just spoke to Mike, he can't get them anymore. New rad is £200. Noticed an old post where Andy was selling 2nd hand rad for £110, so looks like its a Koyo for me. My new flat is a drain on the cash flow at the moment though so I still might look about for a broken rad and just nick the end tank.
  15. Am I right in thinking Nissan no longer sell these? Are these my options - find 2nd hand buy new rad ?? (aftermarket of course, Koyo me thinks if I can afford it) Cheers.
  16. Thanks Rob, and as said - from The Z Centre, IIRC they are about £290 + lights + vat. No skirts, I did have the stone gaurd sh1t taken off and smoothed though, which sometimes gives the illusion of having skirts.
  17. Mike, I blame you personally for me missing out on that ALC II Danny was selling.
  18. Oooh - excited  I'm on the front of the medium size one! I'm quite chuffed :) Think I said what I wanted but haven't paid yet. Sorry - was it via Paypal?
  19. Just looked at the poll results and I see you can see who voted for what! Thats a new one.
  20. My creak which sounds exactly the same as yours was one of the bushes in the front upper link arm. It drove me mad. My car was in for some work with SE and they tried to say it was the bonnet catch, then they replaced the top mount in the strut, then soaked everything in 20 gallons of WD40 but still there and I managed to trace it to the upper link arm. Why SE couldn't find it is beyond me. Anyway, bought some new ones, easy to fit, and hey presto.
  21. I read someone popped their front screen out when doing this so be careful!! Who did sell that kit for this?
  22. This is my opinion. Regular guys with a uniform turns them into complete ar5eholes. The power thing goes to their head. And the resources they use on traffic related issues is simply not justified.
  23. Only if its nice though.........
