  1. Do you know if it was a series 1 or 2 PTU? The series 1 having the kinda 'fins' on it. Defo worth a thorough clean up!
  2. Was it a backfire kinda pop??? It would then be the usual suspects of PTU, coil connectors etc etc fookin etc! And I guess it will only do this under load, so revving it while parked won't produce the same symptoms/conditions.
  3. The one that would pop off on mine before I cable tied it on was over on the r/h/s, near the balance bar, it goes from there over to near the fuel pump, kinda between fuel pump and the battery. While the engine is running you would also hear a hissing noise from the air escaping. HTH.........left my dig camera at home!
  4. You've driven over some bubble wrap??? Is it a backfire kinda 'pop' ?? Maybe from booting it, a hose has come off? Check the little vacuum one's over by the r/h/s of the engine.

    LOL............I like it! :D
  6. Have you clicked on the link and read the text? Thats how it helps! I will type out the blurb from the SE booklet.... "One of the simplest and most effecient ways to improve your braking is the addition of a master cylinder brace. This aluminium casting stops the bulkhead flexing against your foot pressure, resulting in a much firmer pedal with less travel. It does not provide more stopping power but it will give you great confidence" There's not a problem the way it is......this is just an improvement!
  7. As you say, you will read about problems alot more than 'my Z is running fine' I suppose. On the help & advice its going to be a mine of problems just like any other car forum. I've had mine nearly 3 years now, 6 months after I bought it, it blew up costing me £2,500 for new engine from SE. Since then another £6ish k on mods and maintenance (mainly mods!) I'm not well off by any means and sometimes has been a struggle to keep the Z........but I don't regret buying it for one second. I love it to bits. Its more than just owning a car, its kinda like a hobby. I've never been as passionate about a car. Go on.......get one........you know you want to.........you just got to be patient and the right one will turn up. Anything that goes wrong.........we'll always help you out!
  8. Have a nice day now............. Doughnut anyone? :(
  9. I've heard Duffer is setting up a premium rate phone line to ring to get this information, £1.50 minute, maximum call duration 3 days. Shouldn't make a joke of it.......its gonna start WW3.

  17. I am after some stock rims, no prob with collecting them and will buy YOU lunch! Let me know when is good to come over......and very generous of you!
  18. LMFAO! Yeah! Coke float is the biggest glass you could find with Coke and ice-cream! ...........went all frothy aswell and you could eat that with a spoon!! ha ha ha..........:D
  19. Who used to make "Coke floats" ? Thats what vanilla Coke tastes like!
  20. I don't know if its the switch or actual mechanism inside that allows the 'auto close' to operate but I know AndyZ had some window switches at a give-away price. I'm thinking you could just change the switch over, there are 2 little boxes behind the controls for each switch and it looked as though it all came apart when I had mine off the other day. You can maybe try with my old ones? ...............other than that, just make sure your keys aren't in the ignition when working on your Z or when your kids get in! ;)
  21. Thats what I said.
  22. Sounds as bad as £10 for ONE wheel nut!! $1.50 from Courtesy.
  23. Man, that photo turns my stomach.

There's a guy on here called STUART (smw1), if you PM him with a little note no more than 250 words saying why you joined here, how you found it etc, he'll be able to help you. I don't know why but he always asks you to name your top 10 films and what your favourite colour is, so make sure you do this. We've all had to do it- so don't worry. HTH.
  25. I think my HKS are the loudest !! so there. Stu.......what evenings are you about this week?
