  8. one way you might get around law is that you sell a rafflle ticket for the same cost of a drink and that way you are giving out a prize to the ticket buyer and not selling them a drink
  9. O the joys of being a proper club if as the forum is now " a proper club " no committee member should bear the cost of outgoings that is meet by putting on benifits for the members the costs should and must come out of the clubs funds this is why anything that involves an initial outlay must be agreed by the committee. I know at the moment the committee is "self appointed" ( not a good discription, but it had to start some where) and after a year from what i have read the committee will be elected by a vote and then part of thier job is to make decisions on finacial matters on our behalf at this early stage of the offical clubs existance there is only one option for the club and that is to reimbuse the monies out of club funds and take away the rights of the non payers like I say O the joys of being a proper club and the Joys of being a committee member
  10. misread the topic and deleted post
  11. no one here coming to the z club's back to basics weekend at Wem, Shropshire on 30/31 August who knows, it was after a weekend like this that JAE was born 11 years ago. From little apples etc etc
  12. oops sorry abbout post re dick (my cock up) should have refered back before posting but point could still be relevent in some cases
  13. You could always visit the Z Club's forum, but ashamed to say you might die of boredom with the small ammount of posts compared to here ( shouldn't have posted that as aZ Club committee member) i come on here as I enjoy the ammount of posts and banter and am a nosy barstard with regards to the Muppet/fight club you can look at the posts or not as you wish Don't agree with some of the allowed topics on it but suport the principal of people being allowed freedom to,post what they want in the fight club Only thing i think is wrong with the fight club is the self disipline of posters of topics with the topic headings as they appear in the latest post lists that is open to all to view. don't like topics like "My dicks to Big" and others like it, for example being on show for anyone who logs onto the forum latest posts lists. could have been titled "is it to big" If my kids were still young and where looking over my shoulder don't think I would like them to view posts titles like them
  14. totally agree with MAC 1 views "All of the initial Committee for the Club has been established at Craig's invitation and request. It has to start somewhere to get the club up and running,In time the club members will be able to vote who is in and who is out," If you look at the number of members who voted in three very important polls you will see that the initial reponse from members on setting up a club is on par with almost every other car club that i have been involved with Do you support the formulation of the 300.co.uk club 49 votes poll on freeloaders 30 votes poll on subscribed members 64 votes so I doubt whether a vote by members on who is going to be on the first committee will work the only way forward is for the people who were asked by Craig to help out to form a committee and then set a constitution and then after a year in office you then nominate who you would like on the committee and if, and it is a very big if, they agree to stand yopu then vote on who you want to be on the committee from experience on various committees i have found that once you are on them and do your job to the best of you ability other members don't often come forward to take over from you and you can be stuck with the job for a few years
  15. just to let you all know that Gio, a regular poster on this forum has been awarded the Z Club's 2003 Member Of The Year Trophy for his efforts and time in helping to get Nissan to change their pricing policy for searching thier microfiche for grey import Z32 parts

sat here quitely reading posts and thought i'd throw in my thoughts As a non Z32 owner but a owner of a 280ZX logged on to this site out of intrest as an enthusiast of the whole Z range. when it was asked that the forum needed funds to help keep the site running paid my as I believed at the time my one off £20 fee to help keep it running as an enthusiast of the Z/ZX marque. Ater reading that out of the 1656 subscribed members only 120 had paid their £20 was somewhat shocked to find that as an non Z32 owner I had thought it was worthwhile to pay up and 1500 approx registered Z32 owners had not thought it was worth while IMHO if the proposed £20 annual fee is just to keep the forum running for these 1500 non paying registered members I willl have to think seriously on whether as a enthusiast of the marque I want to pay out annually for 1500 skinflints to use this site If however the annual £20 is for setting up a club that is run along the lines of the Z Club would certainly be willing to pay up the paultry sum of £20 However with this next statment, I expect to be insulted, theatened, swore at and worse even thrown in the lake at Billing next year, If people want to belong to an annual fee paying club they could join the Z Club that has been in existance for twentyseven years and has 620 FULLY PAID UP MEMBERS who willingly pay thier annual subscription and only they get any advantage out of the club whilst on this forum 6.5% of the 1656 registered members who have paid there one of fee to keep it up and running have done so for the benifit of the 93.5% other users of this site Could also go into various Z /ZX Clubs in the UK that have been started and then folded after a couple of years but that is a different topic Remember I'm old and thickskinned and had more insults, during my involvement in the Z/ZX scene, than some of you here can throw at me
  17. list of z32 sh8t can't work out how to attach file to post not going to keep trying unless someone can help not pc literate so idiots guides please
  18. list of models screwed that up sorry can't delete attachment
  19. very tired after organising the whole event and don't really feel like sitting at a keyboard at the moment but would just like to say why didn't someone come up to me and ask if they could have used the Z Clubs marque for the saturday night instead of using jeff's as surely from what ihave read so far it was obvious that as the night went on some thing was bound to go off as regards zedworlds marquee being on the forums plot it wasns't it was on the traders area that I set up so that the Z&ZX traders were next to both Z related clubs it was only that i was the main organiser of the show that this happened other wise the z traders would have been amoung the general traders I would also imform you all that I was the person who told jeff that it was forum members who were using his marquee a during the night and if I had known the names of the people in there I would have told him them would not a goodwill jesture of a small donation, from the all people who used the marquee during the night, to jeff to help cover the cost of repairing the damage and before any one says it wasn't me who did it, look at it as a payment for using his marquee for the night like to close on a thank you to all the people who came to billing for the show even though the weather was shite it made the seven months of working on it all worth while
  20. hi devil from your posting on another thread i seem to remember you stating you and some of your other "gentlemen friends" (your statment in thread) acted well and quite responsably in stopping some trouble with some nasties you sound like just the sort of person who could be usefull at helping monitering behaviour at Billing next week end, after all action is better than words see you there and look forward to your help
  21. because shithead likes the Z32 and as he wanted to slagg off the earlier Zs as getting fatter and lardier across the range they didn't want a Z32 there even though one was offered what makes what he said about the earlier cars and owners that riles me is that they came to the Z club for the cars and only gave 23 HRS notice as they had been let down by others ( beleive Nissan)
  22. he did say one thing that true though when he talked about a knob on the steering wheel
  23. mike feeney wrote following on z club forum "I would suggest that anyone who loves their Z should NOT tune in on Sunday. As predictable as ever, Clarkson trots out the usual turgid prose on how the Z got plump, then fat, then lard before lambasting the 350Z on the basis of driving an import Fairlady Z (base model) around the back streets of Sheffield. Expect no favours - the Z segment is the first thing after the titles and only the 240Z gets a reasonable description. Pete Forder and myself are lampooned for being bewhiskered car club members and poor Brian Kesterton is the target of Clarkson's anti-Brummie "humour". I keep telling myself that maybe they won't use this take........." really good that club members help out top gear to get cars there with two days notice after Nissan let them down and the shithead has pops at the cars that is his ight but to insult the people that helped out Top Gear shows that he only uses them to boost his viewing figues the club offered a Z32 to be included but they told us that they didn't wan't one maybe shithead had already made up his mind that he was going to slagg off the earlier Z Oh well he has to look after his ego by being the first media person to slag off the 350Z

  25.
