  1. got into jae database and entered Topless as club contact today
  2. Problem at the moment is not sure what strings to pull as there don't seem to be any hanging at the moment :( but there again didn't realy staart on 2003 untill the xmas break I'm Off work untill new year and will try and gee things along
  3. on the saturday night thought it kept you all wet :duffer:
  4. not long after JAE2003 when was still involved withthe organising I altered the data base changing the 300zx.co.uks main contact from Craig to Mark and all was ok Since then the jae site crashed and a lot of data was lost (back to march 2003)and the guy who is running the site hadn't backed up the info I think that Craigs name is now back on as contact even though now not involved in the planing of the 2004 event overall think I still have access to the various datta bases and will try and access it to night and put Marks name back on would be good if we could get all the Z sites together again like 2003 and get the 350 guys involved as well what was good about 2003 was the location of the Z traders next to the Z plots and doubt that this will happen in 2004 as not involved in the planning (in 2003 I planned the whole layout and tweaked it all to work that way) not to sure what is happening planning wise so far but over the xmas break will try and kick some ass and chase some people up also there was some talk of the plot prices going up and will fight against this on clubs behalf as at the end of JAE 2003 there was something like £1500 left in the kitty after every thing was paid for and feel that the correct way to raise revenue is not by increasing the clubs prices but to increase the traders plot prices will keep you informed over the next couple of weeks (s88t thought I wosn't going to get involved) Another option would be to book all Z Goups to book big enough plots to include the traders on the plots and then charge the Z Traders to have their plots on the stands, don't think the organisers would like that though
  5. the next one will be on the 18th January and then on each third Sunday of the month i.e 18th Jan 15th Feb 21st March 18th April
  6. Mike Feeney's post from the zclub.net forum "Whichever way you look at it, the quoted quarter mile time for a 350Z is 14.1 secs at 100mph and the 300ZXTT is 14.4 seconds at 100mph, statistics from the same magazine road tests, so we would expect some comparibility. The TT 4th gear is the same as the 350Z 5th (i.e. 1:1) and 3rd is somewhere towards the top end of the gap between the 350Z 3rd and 4th, so direct comparisons are not possible, but towards the end of the quarter mile, in the region 80-100mph, the 350Z would appear to have a small advantage over the TT. The 350Z will have to make one more gear change in the quarter than the 300, as 3rd runs to 90mph at 6500rpm. It is also apparent how closely matched the standard versions of the two cars really are, so there will be plenty of scope for driver error to make a significant difference. I suggest all interested parties get down to the first round of the Z Club Drag Race Challenge at Santa Pod in 2004 so that we can test the differences for ourselves.......and the differences in reaction times of the drivers involved. __________________ Mike Feeney at MJP (Eastern Auto) S.E.Z. 7. as a non owner of either the300zx or the 350z can't wait for the Z Clubs drag challange series in 2004 to see what would win would win I Don't think Mike Feeney's 350 will be stock by then though from the last time I spoke to him Will post up an invite/ challenge on the 350 forum in the new year and see whether I can get all three clubs along then could almost take over the pod
  8. phone them up and ask them if its ok they normally say its OK as long as you say where it came from
  9. Of course he is going to say the 350Z is terrible all Just a C**t's content are predetermined and preplanned why do you think 3 Z32 are being featured in the current programme and why wasn't a Z32 included in the recent programme that included at thier request every model in the Fairlady Z range except the Z32 then Just a C**t couldn't say that every fairlady got worse than the previous when he had included the Z32 in his best car lists all Just a C**t is doing is using the his anti 350Z stance for is to promote his own viewing figures and justify the fee he gets paid to be arguementative maybe he should join here and then go in the fight club and then he could spout his normal crap for all his hearts content
  10. prat head jc likes the Z32 but hates every other Z except for the 240Z this includes the 350Z makes you wonder why Top Gear is doing a comparison between the Z32 and the 350Z wonder if it is because prathead was not allowed to comment on the whole fairlady series at the MPH show this weekend and it is his way of getting his own back think all Z owners should be gratefull to the launch of the 350Z as doubt if the whole range would have got as much recent media coverage if the car never came out
  11. Jeremy Clarkson being arrested and found guilty of fraud, libel and slander and as a punishment letting some of you guys loose on him
  12. beware of going on Top Gear with the prat below is a copy of a post by Mike Feeney that is on the Z Club's thread on this same subject which sums up why the Z series will never win with J C ( sure it stands for Just a C**t) in the last slagging of off the Z series he didn't want a Z32 included as if I remember he quite likes them so it looks like as mike says it is a prearranged think to slag off the 350 but then he is so fickle who knows which he will slag off to raise his tv audience andself ego best thig that could happen is if all peole who went turned up in ZZ Top beards but would think this would go over his head "Comparing stock for stock, on paper, a manual 300ZXTT and a 350Z are pretty closely matched to 60mph from a standing start, but to 100mph the 350Z is nearly a second quicker. If it's an auto 300ZXTT, then it will be goodbye on both tests. Launch techniques of the parties testing the cars will heavily influence the visual comparison. The "on the move" flat torque curve of the 350Z will probably give it the edge on most X to Y brackets. Round a track, its lower weight and improved suspension should give the 350 a discernable advantage - look at VBH round Angelsey vs the Audi TT - 5 seconds a lap quicker in the 350! This means that the Top Gear test should be a very valid one and interesting viewing to the converts amongst us. However, bearing in mind the insulting experience of our last visit, do any Club members really want to subject their pride and joy to the Clarkson biased tirade of insults? Don't kid yourself that he will listen to reason or be impressed by any statistics you might throw his way! Shave before you attend if you still insist on participating (or take a load of mates with huge and obviously false beards with you). You have to ask what the intention of this test will be (because that is already determined before you get there): to have a pop at the only Z left out of the last show or to gain ammunition for his stand alone approach to criticism of the 350Z? BTW, if we don't do this hopefully someone will tell them why?" __________________ Mike Feeney at MJP (Eastern Auto) S.E.Z. 16. SEZ local Z group meet at Halfway House on the A127 on Sunday 7th Dec 12o'clock onwards
  17. the Z Club have sourced the 260,280ZX,Z31,Z32 that will be included with Nissan's 240 &350 at the display J.EFFING C is not cgoing to be involved in the commentry on the Z part of the show copy of Mike Feeney's post on the Z Club@s website a few weeks back showing origal request for Cars at show and other info think this will be the first show of its kind not to be missed Z CLUB POST below I have been in contact with David Whittock who is heading the organisation of this live action event and we are keen to get some Z Club involvement. Read his description first: "I am very pleased to hear that you may be able to help with a range of Z Nissan's to use as a sequence during the live show. To give you an insight on the show, MPH 03 is a new form of motorshow in that the emphasis is on a one and a half-hour theatre production show, as opposed to a series of static exhibition stands. More in line with the “Royal Tournament” or the “Horse of the Year Show” but for cars MPH will run for the first time this December in Earls Court, London with the enthusiastic backing of media partners The Sunday Times, Top Gear Magazine and Virgin Radio. There will be nine identical performances of the show, all taking place in the 4000 seat themed arena over the 4 days. _ _ _ _ _ _Thursday 11th December _ _ _ _ _ _rehearsal during day & show _ _ _ _ _ _19-30 _ _ _ _ _ _Friday 12th December _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _15-00 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 18-30 _ _ _ _ _ _Saturday 13th December _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 12-00 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 15-00 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 18-30 _ _ _ _ _ _Sunday 14th December _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 12-00 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 15-00 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 18-30 This event basically replaces the old London Motorshow and we have been retained by the overall event organisers to produce and manage the “Theatre” production, having run high profile motoring events and productions for a number of years. The main presenter is Jeremy Clarkson who will be supported by his Top Gear co-presenter Richard Hammond and the shows will be fast paced with sections covering:- _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _Funny/strange cars _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _Supercars _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _Motorsport _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _Normal road cars _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _Guest celebrity involvement _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _Car/film stunt sequences If possible I would like one of the sections to be a feature on the Nissan Z range, and in an ideal world to feature the 240,260,260 2x2, 280, 300 Z31, 300 Z32, and the 350. These cars do not have to be exact and can be of the imported variety. It's the presentation that counts, not the originality. The cars would drive into the theatre arena slowly and stop, then talked about by the presenters, possibly at this point some of the drivers may also be interviewed. _The whole presentation would be done theatrically with lights, sound and film and would be a unique experience for the spectators and extensive media people in attendance. We would obviously work with you so that the club achieved what was required which could include promotion and VIP guest packages." 1. Despite what David said, Jeremy Clarkson will NOT be presenting the Z section. It is now in his contract, at Nissan's insistance, that he is not allowed to comment on the Z range or the 350Z at this event. The presentation of this section, I am assured, will be by Tif Needell. 2. The committment is serious if you want to be involved personally. There are two options: you lend your pride and joy and allow their professional drivers to do the show or you commit to four days in London and participate in the show yourself, doing interviews etc. in the arena. Obviously in the latter, you would be representing the Z Club and the history of your model. I am assured (as you would expect for an event of this magnitude) that full car and public liability insurance is in place. 3. The organisers are prepared to meet reasonable expenditure incurred and, for those staying in London with their cars and participating, would provide hotel accomodation. 4. Obviously, your car needs to be a good example of its type, reasonably but not absolutely original and you need to be prepared to prep it for this active display. I think that Nissan will want to use their own 240Z and 350Z. O.K. - a tough one for you, but your chance to be a stage struck superstar. Please phone me to discuss, tell me about your car and let me know what package you could provide for us - 01277 374201 or e-mail mike@mjpauto.com __________________ Mike Feeney at MJP (Eastern Auto) S.E.Z.
