  1. Happppppppy Birthdayyyyyyy! :duffer:
  2. Hi, Sounds dumb but which way round do you set the locking nuts, on the rose joints or lock the bar? Cheers for any help!!
  3. Where did you find that?? :D I'm still trying to figure out if that's a wind up or not? "I take showers all the time and I'm fine!" killed me. Suitably banned and damned to hell afterwards.
  4. Orange and black. Reminds me of a GT3 i've seen before. Will be a bitch to keep in good nick though lol!!
  5. I think what pete's referring to (correct me if i'm wrong) are most bovs are adjustable springs settings and can be set to open a varying pressure, becoming a standing boost leak in a sense if not set high enough. Plus bad installation etc. Easy enough to install tho! I'm not a big fan of the sound but it's more the way the system is designed to measure air with a maf is what my issue is with them. It's nothing massive, just something to be aware of if the engine does start misbehaving as a possible starting point. I feel bad now. Was just pointing out a possible issue because jeff mentioned about issues with weak springs. I doubt the car will self destruct lol with them in, being an auto as well means that if your committed with the right foot there will be very little "dumping"! HTH
  6. just get someone thats insured on their own car and over twenty five to drive it back for you!
  7. Lol, if you're only 24 you'll not be able to tow it as its not on you're licence. Max combined weight of car, trailer and payload no more than 3 ton i believe
  8. I know there are a lot of people that turn out to be no good. But to be fair from what i can read, all outstanding parts have been delivered if a tad late. So i can't see why not - maybe on the condition of prompt delivery lol :p
  9. Yep it is cheaper! If the rust is too deep though you'll have to remove too much material and it'll be a weak spot.
  10. if you go to http://300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi?list=em&dir=&config=&refresh=&slide=46&cycle=off&scale=0&design=default&total=70 that will show you what's involved on the first two pages. As for the brakes, do you know where about's on the brake circuit there corroded? I would say replace like for like, as shiny braided brake pipes are only as strong as the hose inside, solid tubing is much stronger albeit less flexible! HTH
  11. Lots of variables in that one. Didn't mean to put the jumpers up you, sorry lol, I wouldn't worry too much, the short answer is no. It's a gradual over time thing like consistant hard acceleration/heavy loading. Just bear in mind the more that you hear that stupid sound, your running rich on that cycle. :p Just thought i'd raise the issue because running rich is sometimes seen as safe and it can be as bad as running lean, albeit not quite as instant!
  12. Exactly what i thought when i saw that! What really bites me is why was she or anyone else not at work or studying that day??
  13. Lol, re gassing is a must!! the rev drop is normal when the air con is on and the air con is detached by a electromagnetic clutch on Wide open throttle so it won't affect performance!!
  14. The ecu will pulse the injectors for the air it measured coming in, if you "dump" some of this to atmosphere, there is reduced air intake and therefore your AFR becomes richer or goes down in value. Running rich is not as catastrophic as running lean but will cause things such as bore wash where the oil is cleaned from the cylinder walls, that accelerates wear on the components. Also lamda sensors really don't like it and a serious rich mixture causes the cats alot of problems aswell. Ps it's good for the forum for Jeff to take the time to write these up! Maybe a series starting lol?
  15. Your getting about 20 mpg - depends how and where you drive. About right for inner city/suburban driving i'd reckon
  16. prob best to goggle zed world
  17. bugger it was the toyota aristo i was thinking of, thats got the 2 in! Yep, you're right!
  18. If you get a later one 1997 i believe they come with the later 2jzegte vvti (sp) Basically the supra tt engine. I don't like supras that much but there engines are most solid from stock of the big four that i have read, could be a bargain at those kind of prices. Ripe for putting into something old to scare the be-jesus out of someone!!
  19. If they are what i think you're referring to, zed injectors up till late 1995 where a different design. After that, they changed to the standard aftermarket type. That means a different fuel rail and ideally the lower intake. HTH
  20. go to the 300zx manual and engine management etc page 42, it has all the diagnostics tests that you could ever need!!
  21. i like battle royale, reservoir dogs, cass, 30 days later, taken, human traffic
