I was hoping to have bought a spare to use to test mine and for future spare.....:crying:..... Typical, can't even swap the speedo section over.... lol

Hi all, my car was originally a series 1 NA LWB and was converted to a TT years ago. Since then I have also fitted a TT auto box and had to swap the TT cog on the speed sensor to an NA one as the rear diff is an NA one. The speed sensor was rotated 180 deg and a clamp made to hold it in place. Now the speedo has stopped working. I have resoldered all the connections on the speedo in the cluster, cleaned cluster connections and for one trip it worked..... Next day nothing again.... I can't get to the speed sensor connector to check for corrosion as it appears to be on top of the auto box and unreachable.... The car is on its wheels and sitting on blocks.... so can't turn the wheels and see if the pulses are getting to the dash plugs!! I bought a cluster and have realised it is a later one.... 24810-32P00.... The sockets are all horizontal..... not sure what series this is from? Can it be modified to fit or is it a sell it and find a series 1 NA cluster?? Cheers Russ

I had a custom system made by Hayward and scott years ago for my Ford Orion 1600E with a series 1 RS turbo engine..... The quality was the best I have ever seen, 3 inch stainless steel.... They build it to your car. It fits like a tailored suit, no rattles and no issues. They aren't cheap, but they sound amazing, look amazing and perform perfectly. Hi Si, it's still live with Z1 as I was hoping that TwinZ may be able to help in some way.... It's just such a shame there's no stock of their products that is more easily accessible for us in the UK. If there is anything you can do to help, it is greatly appreciated. Well I am now cream crackered........ as TwinZ have come back to me today saying I need to wait till June when Z1 get their delivery in...... Or Z1 who have just said wait or cancel the order......... So I am now really contemplating refitting the full Veilside C2 kit to the Z again!!!! Just need to source a pair of genuine Veilside side skirts...... and refit the front bumper and spoiler sitting on my shed roof...... Not the more subtle look I was aiming for...... but it would be a look I know I have already lived with since 2001........ See my Avatar..... :lol:

Hi Joel and Andrew, Perspex strip was already fitted.... now removed for spraying.... Now I have stripped the wrap off the tailgate it is primer, bare metal and top coat in patches..... Clear coat is flaking off all over car now.... so looks like a piece of crap all over... I’ve seen better paint on a breaker.... Hi Si, I haven’t got a problem with TwinZ at all and would be fine if the Z1 website had informed me about it taking 3-4 months back order. Before I placed the order.... Just unhappy with not being told anything and then assuming I was okay with waiting that long. All they need to do is put a warning on their website about delays and back orders... simples!!! I have spoken to TwinZ today and they are trying to see what they can do to help... really good communication and helpful! Failing getting the spoiler I ordered...., I may have to refit the veilside kit.... :lol::lol:

Hi Joel, I am just angry that they didn't bother telling me when I ordered it and the delivery said 5-9 days...... Then I check account to find they added a note saying delivered sometime in June, back order.... actually a 4 month wait!! If I wasn't having her bare metal resprayed in April ready for 30th Anniversary meet I would probably have been okay..... had they actually told me.... So I either go ahead with respray without the spoiler or cancel the respray and write off this years meetings...... I started stripping the tailgate and panels Friday ready for spoiler fitting.... now missing paint on tailgate! She looks a mess......

Hi Nick, Unfortunately CZP don't have the spoiler on their site.... I am so angry with Z1 as I now have to try and sort out a refund and supplier thats reliable....

Well I bit the bullet and ordered a TwinZ rear spoiler from them last week, paid and was expecting it in the next week or so...... Big Mistake! Tonight I decided to look on my account at the tracking details and seen when or if it had shipped.... What I found was a note added in the order to say it would be sent out in mid June........ No email, nothing on the web page to say it wasn't in stock, bu**er all communication that I would be waiting months!! The website says" The TwinZ Design Rear HATCH Lip Spoilers are now available."......... Let alone the car is booked in for a respray in April...... Absolute Joke..... Thanks for letting me know it's on back order Z1......... What is wrong with their customer service nowadays?

Would they be able to make front windscreen trims, t'top middle bar, T'top panels, sail panel covers, etc????

Today I went for the MOT........... Failed..... First try on emissions returned a fail on Co2 at 3.57% with a 3.50 limit...... So he redid the emissions at the end as I explained it had sat since last July and had only started to warm up on the way there.... He allowed a proper engine warm up during the other tests and it sailed through on the second attempt with a 1.44%....... Phew!!!! Then I got the bad news that both rear tyres has Massive inside wall bulges........ They were huge.....looked like they had Mumps!!!! So I went for a pair of brand new Pirelli Pzero 255/35/ZR18 boots at £89 + vat each......:whistling: Tomorrow I am replacing the fronts as well at that price..... lol BUT SHE IS NOW MOT"D AND ON THE ROAD AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :biggrin:

Hi Dave and Craig.........Ermmmmm..... it went on...... but looked like a 2 year old icing a cake....... lol so I have decided to discuss how to do it properly with the restoration guy who is doing the spraying and bodywork as he does it a lot.... lol I should be speaking to him today as he is opposite the MOT centre I am going to........ I just hope he doesn't start laughing at my effort.... lol The loading the lead went as expected and got easier as I got acquainted with to how warm to get it and how to move it around slowly.... without it just running off the panel.... lol It's just the how much to put on and filing it to shape on a rear quarter panel were the issues I struggled with..... A lot easier on a flat panel laying on a bench!!! I guess I need a lot more practice to get it even remotely okay...... When I have a go in the next few weeks I will try and video it properly......
