  1. Yes of course - when a car's BHP is quoted - it means max BHP  ;)
  2. The same BHP, but quicker response.
  3. Basically don't mod any car, ever ;) LOL!
  4. Jeez! £300!? I reckon they just give the 16 year old YTS boy on reception a free reign to make up prices...
  5. OK cool, thanks Mr P :) I'll give it a go now I know (hope) it's not too bad. Ta very muchly Pete
  6. It'll certainly drown out the noise ;)
  7. Hey, My passenger side folding wingmirror is taking longer and longer to fold in - the drivers side one beats it every time ;) How easy is it to pull the motor out and replace if needed? I presume it is somewhere around the wingmirror itself? Thanks folks :) Pete
  8. Yeah I know what you mean. I picked up my zed from the garage last month after some work, and gave it a bit to much off a roundabout (getting away from one of those droptop Maseratis ;) ) on the A5 in the wet. I didn't even realise I had lost grip until the car was going forwards at a ridiculous angle  and the revs rose a bit quicker. Backed off and she straightened up  with a wiggle. Very forgiving. I think it looked like I meant it LOL :D
  9. Though it can be very enjoyable ;)
  10. 'Course it is  Where does the thing about autos not wheelspinning come from? Mine does it no probs in the dry - unless the road is perfect, dry, flat, no loose bits - even then with the two foot technique it'll do it. The trick is making the wheels *not* spin, in the wet ;) Pete
  11. Cheers boys :) I gather its not one I can just pull off and inspect then, without draining the coolant system? Its definately coolant (he says ;) ) - I can see it dripping onto the exhaust and the level in the rad drops every time I use the car. Shouldn't be too hard to get to with the battery out, and it might just be a split in the end which I could lop off and re-tighten, it certainly comes from the joint area. Cheers Pete
  12. LOL Will those words be picked up on search engines? ;) Above are some more :D Matty - I like your style ;) People need to know about this bloke  Pete
  13. Dean - car has been running poor one day, fine the next. It tends to run worse in hot weather. Slight hesitation, but not much, more noticable is the drop in revs at idle. Sometimes sits at 500rpm but hasn't stalled. Revs generally a bit rough. Anyway, I took the car to Zedworld where Jeff hooked up Conzult which showed driv side O2 sensor stuffed, and pass side one is lazy. Am gonna swap the pcv valves and related hoses too. HTH Pete
  14. Might help if I attached the image  ;)
  15. Evening all :) I've spotted a small coolant leak on my Zed, the reason the rad needs a top-up most mornings. Can anyone tell me what part it is from the attached picture? It's dripping from the end, where the hose meets the bulkhead. The hose is wrapped in silver shiny foily stuff and is about 3/4 to an inch wide. Thanks for any help :) Pete
  16. Thanks for the help people, much appreciated :) I'll order the parts and tool and " 'ave a bash meself' ;) What size is the O2 socket ? CheerZ Pete
  17. Cool - ok found the site and the O2 sensor page - which one is it? Tools There's a Nissan one, but then there's a diffenent one for exhaust-fitted O2 sensors. What bits need pulling out to get to the O2 sensors? Cheers Pete
  18. Ahh - where can I get hold of this tool? Is it specific to Nissan/300ZX? And do I need the tool?
  19. Has anyone done this themselves, both sides? Mine need doing and I'm about to order them both. Any tips on fitting them, I've heard the old 'uns are difficult to remove? Gonna also do the PCV valves and hoses too - what sort of job is that. I found the write-ups the other day but they always make it sound easier ;) Cheers for the help :) Pete
  20. Good point - dont really wanna squirt it all over the windscreen
  21. Mr Muscle? It works on sink plugs... ;)
  22. Hi Rich - I work in Leamington during the week :) If you are in during the week and you want a tour of mine, and a trip out, give me a shout. Pete
  23. A second hand Stillen intake shaved 0.4 seconds off my best quarter mile time ;) In hotter weather too, still waiting for a nice cold day... Pete
  24. Ok - I tried to do this for ya, but now the whole monitor is sticky and I got sacked for it
  25. You I.T. nerd !! :D :D V useful though, well done!
