  4. I've heard of 5Zigen :) Chris@GetGReddy can get 5Ziger stuff so he may know more.
  5. Just one kit - should comprise of the cone, piece linking the cone to the MAF, jubilee clips and a bracket to stop the cone bouncing around. Yep it goes under the headlamp panel :) All becomes obvious once the stock airbox (plus the skin off your knuckles ;) ) is off. Pete
  6. OMG! There really are some f**k ups out there  Funny tho... http://www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/communications/examples_of_999_calls.asp
  7. Cool cheers boys Do I tap the positive wire in the ashtray positive then earth the negative? Pete
  8. Hi Wheres the best/easiest place to wire in the light for a gauge, in the cabin, so that it comes on with the headlights? Is there a "usual" wire to tap into? And where is it? I guess the RHS console would be a start? ;) Also, whats the easiest place to wire into in the cabin which is live all the time with the electrics turned on? Dont ask what for! You might not like the answer!! Could I tap both of these (positive?) into the appropriate wires of the radio harness? And simply earth the other wire (negative??) to a decent earthing point? Or do I wire them in a loop to/from the harness, in parallel? I dont trust myself 100% with electrics...:) Cheers Pete
  9. Sorry John, I think I left my "nothing's ever simple" curse hehe ;)
  10. Yeah get well soon Jimbo  Blimey - painful  Stu - print this thread out, it can be a get well soon card type thing ;) He might as well have that enlargement he was thinking about, while he's there...

  15. LOL I *will* get some new front tyres ;)
  16. LOL I missed the best photo opportunity - that ones pretty tame, John really has an asbestos face :D:D And hands  Steering definately feels less light, and thats with the difficult steering rack bush not in yet. And the awful judder I had braking from anything above 70 has completely gone! Oh yeah and my arch scrub on the drivers side front has gone too!! Well worth doing. Pete
  17. This is the offending bolt which survived WD40, blowtorch, chisel and hammer.
  18. Burning the old bush out of the b4stard thing. John luckily had a spare bolt which we replaced for the one we cut to bits.
  19. The bolt through the bush between front subframe bracket and front lower control arm passenger side was fused to the metal tube inside the bush  Turning the bolt only span the the metal tube inside the bush  This was by far the most time consuming job over the day, about 3 hours including two trips to Focus, and food, and expletives. Hammering, chiselling and crowbarring didnt budge it at all. In the end we got an angle grinder and took off the bolt head on the left and the exposed thread on the right and dropped the whole arm straight out ;)
  20. This picture shows a new poly bush for the anti-roll bar (front), alongside the two taken off. Look at the difference  The one on the right was under a power steering fluid leak  Scary!
  21. A tension rod with new bush pressed in, we found a local place that did them for a fiver cash :)
