  2. Carole Nash do my Z as well on a classic policy for the 300 quid mark, 4000 miles and breakdown cover too. Reminds me, must start saving as that'll be due soon!!! Nick
  3. Taken from Pistonheads, in case someone is interested:- TV PRODUCTION COMPANY WANTS CAR NUTS Thursday 18th November BBC2 documentary to focus on cars and society ...so they asked PH... The BBC needs your help. Production company Denham Productions is making a new BBC2 documentary series all about modern society's relationship with the motor car. So the Plymouth-based company is trying to find "characters and individuals who are passionate about their cars, their particular style of car, the way they use their cars and what the car means to their lives." Denham has asked PistonHeads to put a call out to find willing volunteers. If you want to know more, email rob-h@denhams.demon.co.uk or call Robbie Hill on 01752 345444.
  4. Dont like em. Got stiffed by a traffic cop in court some years ago and have hated em since then. He even tried to lie about certain aspects of my evidence when I had photos submitted as evidence that showed otherwise. Power trip crazy freaks. Too much emphasis on the easy nicking of motorists and not enough effort put into real policing and tracking proper criminals down. Nick

  7. You gotta read the questions and answers, pi$$ funny. Me and the office have been in stitches. Nice one! Nick
  8. So whats the difference between a 4runner and a surf then. Alls I can see is the 4runner was the uk spec and the surf is the import version. Is that right? Nick
  9. They do some greens known as a 6000 series specially for 4x4's. That'll be the ones to get then. Cheers fellas. Nick
  10. Discs and pads are getting close for renewal on the rangey (4.6 litre v8). Was thinking of replacing with standard discs but puting some EBC pads in. Question is green or reds?? Was thinking green but it is a 2.5 tonne car, so should I think about reds?? Any useful ideas appreciated. Nick ;)
  11. Does this qualify for the madest outdoor job on a Z this year or what?????? Nick
  12. No worries, cheers for looking. Nick
  13. Nope, I know the guys name. I know who he traded as. I know his old trading establishment location, hes now ceased trading and his phone & fax number have been reallocated to another company who know nothing! Nick
  14. Thanks fellas but tried them both already with no joy. Nick
  15. Surely ebay are gonna pull that. The biggest laugh will be on him if he doesnt actually have anything to provide to the winning bidder, and it doesnt day he reserves the right to end it early as its advertised somewhere else as so many ebay auctions do! Some folk are just plain weird. Nick
  16. Does your phone book cover doncaster numbers? I am trying to trace a fella who has done a runner with some equipment of mine. Not the nicest thing to do to me, but I will find him by some means or other! Nick
  17. Have we got any members form Doncaster kicking about at the moment? I need you to look something up for me. Take 2 secs I promise! Nick
  18. Cheers anyway Iain, but I'll get myself down the local Electrical mile next weekend and visit the notorious stores to get a look at one. Thanks matey Nick
  19. Thanks for all the advice fellas. The missus enjoyed reading them comments as well, seeing as she started all this!! Looks like the Bosch is getting a favourable following so will pop down the local places and see one in the flesh, before doing a price check. Stu, took me ages to fill in the missing letters!! :p Iain, its not going to be integrated as I'll drop the cupboard carcase and place the machine in there. Too much hassle to start fitting doors on them and the like!!! Xbiker, since having a kid theres more and more washing up to do! The little fella dont half use a lot of cups and plates!! Besides, the longer she spends washing up the less time she has to iron my shirts and do the housework!!! ;) Shes also talking about getting some new furniture for the bedroom, wants the washing machine moving from the garage into the kitchen, and wasnt to redecorate the spare room. I think shes up to something ;) and its looking like it may be an expensive couple of months!!! Cheers lads Nick
  20. My missus (bless her) has decided she, sorry we, need to have a dishwasher in the kitchen. I have identified a cupboard in the kitchen that can go, but which machine to fit???? Anyone got a decent dishwasher if so what make? Is there anyone with one thats been a nightmare. I know we had loads of sh1te with Zanussi over the fridge so dont want to get into that situation again. Ta Nick
  21. Exhaust mounts. Mine did the same. Check underneath and theres a mounting bracket at the back of the gearbox that the exhaust hangs off. It uses some little rubber mounts if I recall rightly. My bracket was totally missing (had a gearbox rebuild before I purchased so assume they didnt refit it) and it was that that was making a very loud banging. Nick
  22. Nah, those are way nicer than a poopra wing! Nick
  23. My little lad loves it too. Went to pick him up from nursery last Friday afternoon and he was outside round the back playing when (according to his carer) he heard the exhaust and recognised it as being Daddys red car! Bear in mind he couldnt see it and hes not even 2 yet! The lads got potential!! :p He loves it when we are out cruising especially when the wind gets on him when the roofs out. Nick
  24. The birds not so good either!!! Nick
